1 “Give thanks to YHWH, || For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time”:
1 ALABAD á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque para siempre [es] su misericordia.
1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
2 Let the redeemed of YHWH say [so], || Whom He redeemed from the hand of an adversary.
2 Dígan[lo] los redimidos de Jehová, los que ha redimido del poder del enemigo,
2 Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,
3 And has gathered them from the lands, || From east and from west, || From north, and from the sea.
3 Y los ha congregado de las tierras, del oriente y del occidente, del aquilón y de la mar.
3 and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
4 They wandered in a wilderness, in a desert by the way, || They have not found a city of habitation.
4 Anduvieron perdidos por el desierto, por la soledad sin camino, no hallando ciudad de población.

5 Hungry—indeed—thirsty, || Their soul becomes feeble in them,

6 And they cry to YHWH in their adversity, || He delivers them from their distress,
6 Habiendo empero clamado á Jehová en su angustia, librólos de sus aflicciones:
6 Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And causes them to tread in a right way, || To go to a city of habitation.
7 Y dirigiólos por camino derecho, para que viniesen á ciudad de población.
7 He led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.
8 They confess to YHWH His kindness, || And His wonders to the sons of men.
8 Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
8 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!
9 For He has satisfied a longing soul, || And has filled a hungry soul [with] goodness.
9 Porque sació al alma menesterosa, y llenó de bien al alma hambrienta.
9 For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.
10 Inhabitants of dark places and death-shade, || Prisoners of affliction and of iron,
10 Los que moraban en tinieblas y sombra de muerte, aprisionados en aflicción y en hierros;
10 Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,
11 Because they changed the saying of God, || And despised the counsel of the Most High.
11 Por cuanto fueron rebeldes á las palabras de Jehová, y aborrecieron el consejo del Altísimo,
11 because they rebelled against the words of God, and condemned the counsel of the Most High.
12 And He humbles their heart with labor, || They have been feeble, and there is no helper.
12 Por lo que quebrantó él con trabajo sus corazones, cayeron y no hubo quien [les] ayudase;
12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was no one to help.
13 And they cry to YHWH in their adversity, || He saves them from their distresses.
13 Luego que clamaron á Jehová en su angustia, librólos de sus aflicciones.
13 Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 He brings them out from the dark place, || And death-shade, || And He draws away their bands.
14 Sacólos de las tinieblas y de la sombra de muerte, y rompió sus prisiones.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains.
15 They confess to YHWH His kindness, || And His wonders to the sons of men.
15 Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
15 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!
16 For He has broken doors of bronze, || And He has cut bars of iron.
16 Porque quebrantó las puertas de bronce, y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.
16 For he has broken the gates of bronze, and cut through bars of iron.
17 Fools, by means of their transgression, || And by their iniquities, afflict themselves.
17 Los insensatos, á causa del camino de su rebelión y á causa de sus maldades, fueron afligidos.
17 Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.
18 Their soul detests all food, || And they come near to the gates of death,
18 Su alma abominó toda vianda, y llegaron hasta las puertas de la muerte.
18 Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.
19 And cry to YHWH in their adversity, || He saves them from their distresses,
19 Mas clamaron á Jehová en su angustia, y salvólos de sus aflicciones.
19 Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.
20 He sends His word and heals them, || And delivers [them] from their destructions.
20 Envió su palabra, y curólos, y librólos de su ruina.
20 He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.
21 They confess to YHWH His kindness, || And His wonders to the sons of men,
21 Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres:
21 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!
22 And they sacrifice sacrifices of thanksgiving, || And recount His works with singing.
22 Y sacrifiquen sacrificios de alabanza, y publiquen sus obras con júbilo.
22 Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his deeds with singing.
23 Those going down [to] the sea in ships, || Doing business in many waters,
23 Los que descienden á la mar en navíos, y hacen negocio en las muchas aguas,
23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters,
24 They have seen the works of YHWH, || And His wonders in the deep.
24 Ellos han visto las obras de Jehová, y sus maravillas en el profundo.
24 these see Yahweh’s deeds, and his wonders in the deep.
25 And He commands, and appoints a storm, || And it lifts up its billows,
25 El dijo, é hizo saltar el viento de la tempestad, que levanta sus ondas.
25 For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.
26 They go up [to] the heavens, they go down [to] the depths, || Their soul is melted in evil.
26 Suben á los cielos, descienden á los abismos: sus almas se derriten con el mal.
26 They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and move as a drunkard, || And all their wisdom is swallowed up.
27 Tiemblan, y titubean como borrachos, y toda su ciencia es perdida.
27 They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28 And they cry to YHWH in their adversity, || And He brings them out from their distresses.
28 Claman empero á Jehová en su angustia, y líbralos de sus aflicciones.
28 Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.
29 He calms a whirlwind, || And their billows are hushed.
29 Hace parar la tempestad en sosiego, y se apaciguan sus ondas.
29 He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.
30 And they rejoice because they are quiet, || And He leads them to the haven of their desire.
30 Alégranse luego porque se reposaron; y él los guía al puerto que deseaban.
30 Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.
31 They confess to YHWH His kindness, || And His wonders to the sons of men,
31 Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
31 Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds for the children of men!
32 And they exalt Him in [the] assembly of [the] people, || And praise Him in [the] seat of [the] elderly.
32 Y ensálcenlo en la congregación del pueblo; y en consistorio de ancianos lo alaben.
32 Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.
33 He makes rivers become a wilderness, || And fountains of waters become dry land.
33 El vuelve los ríos en desierto, y los manantiales de las aguas en secadales;
33 He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,
34 A fruitful land becomes a barren place, || For the wickedness of its inhabitants.
34 La tierra fructífera en salados, por la maldad de los que la habitan.
34 and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
35 He makes a wilderness become a pool of water, || And a dry land become fountains of waters.
35 Vuelve el desierto en estanques de aguas, y la tierra seca en manantiales.
35 He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.
36 And He causes the hungry to dwell there, || And they prepare a city of habitation.
36 Y allí aposenta á los hambrientos, y disponen ciudad para habitación;
36 There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,
37 And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, || And they make fruits of increase.
37 Y siembran campos, y plantan viñas, y rinden crecido fruto.
37 sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.
38 And He blesses them, and they multiply exceedingly, || And He does not diminish their livestock.
38 Y los bendice, y se multiplican en gran manera; y no disminuye sus bestias.
38 He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.
39 And they are diminished, and bow down, || By restraint, evil, and sorrow.
39 Y luego son menoscabados y abatidos á causa de tiranía, de males y congojas.
39 Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.
40 He is pouring contempt on nobles, || And causes them to wander in vacancy—no way.
40 El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, y les hace andar errados, vagabundos, sin camino:
40 He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.
41 And sets the needy on high from affliction, || And places families as a flock.
41 Y levanta al pobre de la miseria, y hace [multiplicar] las familias como [rebaños de] ovejas.
41 Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.
42 The upright see and rejoice, || And all perversity has shut her mouth.
42 Vean los rectos, y alégrense; y toda maldad cierre su boca.
42 The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.
43 Who [is] wise, and observes these? They understand the kind acts of YHWH!
43 ¿Quién es sabio y guardará estas cosas, y entenderá las misericordias de Jehová?
43 Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.
