1 A Hiram, car tirski posla poslanike k Davidu i drva kedrovih i zidara i drvodelja da mu sagrade kuću.
1 E HIRAM rey de Tiro envió embajadores á David, y madera de cedro, y albañiles y carpinteros, que le edificasen una casa.
1 Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees, masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.
2 I razume David da ga je Gospod utvrdio za cara nad Izrailjem i da se carstvo njegovo podiže visoko radi naroda Njegovog Izrailja.
2 Y entendió David que Jehová lo había confirmado por rey sobre Israel, y que había ensalzado su reino sobre su pueblo Israel.
2 David perceived that Yahweh had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted, for his people Israel’s sake.
3 I David uze još žena u Jerusalimu i izrodi još sinova i kćeri.
3 Entonces David tomó también mujeres en Jerusalem y aun engendró David hijos é hijas.
3 David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David became the father of more sons and daughters.

8 A Filisteji čuvši da je David pomazan za cara nad svim Izrailjem, iziđoše svi Filisteji da traže Davida; a David čuvši to iziđe pred njih.
8 Y oyendo los Filisteos que David había sido ungido por rey sobre todo Israel, subieron todos los Filisteos en busca de David. Y como David lo oyó, salió contra ellos.
8 When the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went out against them.
9 I Filisteji došavši raširiše se po dolini rafajskoj.
9 Y vinieron los Filisteos, y extendiéronse por el valle de Raphaim.
9 Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.
10 Tada David upita Gospoda govoreći: Hoću li izaći na Filisteje? I hoćeš li ih dati u moje ruke? A Gospod mu reče: Izađi, i daću ih u tvoje ruke.
10 Entonces David consultó á Dios, diciendo: ¿Subiré contra los Filisteos? ¿los entregarás en mi mano? Y Jehová le dijo: Sube, que yo los entregaré en tus manos.
10 David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?” Yahweh said to him, “Go up; for I will deliver them into your hand.”
11 Tada otidoše u Val-Ferasim, i pobi ih onde David, i reče David: Prodre Bog neprijatelje moje mojom rukom, kao što voda prodire. Otuda se prozva mesto Val-Ferasim.
11 Subieron pues á Baal-perasim, y allí los hirió David. Dijo luego David: Dios rompió mis enemigos por mi mano, como se rompen las aguas. Por esto llamaron el nombre de aquel lugar Baal-perasim.
11 So they came up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. David said, God has broken my enemies by my hand, like waters breaking out. Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
12 I ostaviše onde bogove svoje; a David zapovedi, te ih spališe ognjem.
12 Y dejaron allí sus dioses, y David dijo que los quemasen al fuego.
12 They left their gods there; and David gave a command, and they were burned with fire.
13 A Filisteji opet po drugi put raširiše se po onom dolu.
13 Y volviendo los Filisteos á extenderse por el valle,
13 The Philistines made another raid in the valley.
14 I David opet upita Boga, a Bog mu reče: Ne idi za njima, nego se vrati od njih, pa udari na njih prema dudovima.
14 David volvió á consultar á Dios, y Dios le dijo: No subas tras ellos, sino rodéalos, para venir á ellos por delante de los morales;
14 David inquired again of God; and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them. Turn away from them, and come on them opposite the mulberry trees.
15 I kad čuješ da zašušti po vrhovima od dudova, tada iziđi u boj; jer će poći Bog pred tobom da pobije vojsku filistejsku.
15 Y así que oyeres venir un estruendo por las copas de los morales, sal luego á la batalla: porque Dios saldrá delante de ti, y herirá el campo de los Filisteos.
15 When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then go out to battle; for God has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.”
16 I učini David kako mu zapovedi Bog i pobi vojsku filistejsku od Gavaona do Gezera.
16 Hizo pues David como Dios le mandó, é hirieron el campo de los Filisteos desde Gabaón hasta Gezer.
16 David did as God commanded him; and they attacked the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
17 I razglasi se ime Davidovo po svim zemljama; i Gospod zadade strah od njega svim narodima.
17 Y la fama de David fué divulgada por todas aquellas tierras: y puso Jehová temor de David sobre todas las gentes.
17 The fame of David went out into all lands; and Yahweh brought the fear of him on all nations.
