1 Me llegó un mensaje del Señor que decía:
1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
1 Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
2 “Entonces, hijo de hombre, ¿estás dispuesto a juzgarlos? ¿Estás listo para juzgar a la gente de esta ciudad que ha causado tanto derramamiento de sangre? Haz que enfrenten todas las cosas repugnantes que han hecho,
2 Y tú, hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú á la ciudad derramadora de sangre, y le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones?
2 “You, son of man, will you judge? Will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations.
3 y diles que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Ustedes son una ciudad que ha provocado su propia perdición al asesinar a la gente dentro de sus muros, y al hacer ídolos para adorar que los hicieron inmundos.
3 Dirás, pues: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de sí, para que venga su hora, y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarse!
3 You shall say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “A city that sheds blood within herself, that her time may come, and that makes idols against herself to defile her!
4 Eres culpable de asesinato, y te has hecho impura por los ídolos que has hecho. Has acortado tu vida: ¡tu tiempo se ha acabado! Por eso los demás se burlan de ti; todos se mofan de ti.
4 En tu sangre que derramaste has pecado, y te has contaminado en tus ídolos que hiciste; y has hecho acercar tus días, y has llegado á tus años: por tanto te he dado en oprobio á las gentes, y en escarnio á todas las tierras.
4 You have become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made! You have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the end of your years. Therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.
5 ¡La gente de cerca y de lejos se reirá de ti, ciudad corrupta y llena de confusión!
5 Las que están cerca, y las que están lejos de ti, se reirán de ti, amancillada de fama, [y] de grande turbación.
5 Those who are near and those who are far from you will mock you, you infamous one, full of tumult.
6 “Mira cómo todos tus líderes en Israel usan su poder para asesinar.
6 He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, fueron en ti para derramar sangre.
6 “‘“Behold, the princes of Israel, everyone according to his power, have been in you to shed blood.
7 Desprecias a tus padres. Explotas a los extranjeros que viven contigo, y maltratas a los huérfanos y a las viudas.
7 Al padre y á la madre despreciaron en ti: al extranjero trataron con calumnia en medio de ti: al huérfano y á la viuda despojaron en ti.
7 In you have they treated father and mother with contempt. Among you they have oppressed the foreigner. In you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.
8 “Desprecias mis cosas sagradas y violas mis sábados.
8 Mis santuarios menospreciaste, y mis sábados has profanado.
8 You have despised my holy things, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
9 Viven entre ustedes personas que acusan falsamente a otros para darles muerte. También tienes a los que comen comidas religiosas en santuarios paganos en las montañas, y cometen actos inmorales dentro de la ciudad.
9 Calumniadores hubo en ti para derramar sangre; y sobre los montes comieron en ti: hicieron en medio de ti suciedades.
9 Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. In you they have eaten on the mountains. They have committed lewdness among you.
10 “Algunos de los que viven en la ciudad tienen relaciones sexuales con las esposas de sus padres o con mujeres durante su período.
10 La desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti; la inmunda de menstruo forzaron en ti.
10 In you have they uncovered their fathers’ nakedness. In you have they humbled her who was unclean in her impurity.
11 Son el hogar de hombres malvados. Uno hace cosas repugnantes con la mujer de otro. Otro seduce a su nuera, mientras que otro viola a su hermana, la hija de su propio padre.
11 Y cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; y cada uno contaminó su nuera torpemente; y cada uno forzó en ti á su hermana, hija de su padre.
11 One has committed abomination with his neighbor’s wife, and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law. Another in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.
12 “Tu gente toma dinero para asesinar a otros. Cobran intereses y se lucran con los préstamos, y utilizan la extorsión para obtener dinero de sus vecinos. Te has olvidado de mí, declara el Señor Dios.
12 Precio recibieron en ti para derramar sangre; usura y logro tomaste, y á tus prójimos defraudaste con violencia: olvidástete de mí, dice el Señor Jehová.
12 In you have they taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbors by oppression, and have forgotten me,” says the Lord Yahweh.
13 “¡Así que cuidado! Aplaudo en señal de condena tus ganancias deshonestas y todos tus asesinatos.
13 Y he aquí, que herí mi mano á causa de tu avaricia que cometiste, y á causa de tus sangres que fueron en medio de ti.
13 “‘“Behold, therefore I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at the blood which has been shed within you.
14 ¿Van a ser tan valientes, y serán lo suficientemente fuertes para defenderse cuando llegue el momento en que yo me ocupe de ustedes? Yo, el Señor, he hablado, y voy a actuar.
14 ¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿tus manos serán fuertes en los días que obraré yo contra ti? Yo Jehová he hablado, y harélo.
14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I will deal with you? I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and will do it.
15 Voy a dispersarlos entre las naciones y los distintos países. Pondré fin a sus actos impuros.
15 Y yo te esparciré por las gentes, y te aventaré por las tierras; y haré fenecer de ti tu inmundicia.
15 I will scatter you among the nations, and disperse you through the countries. I will purge your filthiness out of you.
16 Porque cuando todos los demás vean cómo ustedes se han contaminado, entonces reconocerán que yo soy el Señor”.
16 Y tomarás heredad en ti á los ojos de las gentes; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.
16 You will be profaned in yourself in the sight of the nations. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”’”
17 Me llegó un mensaje del Señor que decía:
17 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
17 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
18 “Hijo de hombre, el pueblo de Israel ha terminado como las impurezas que quedan al refinar el metal. Son como el cobre, el estaño, el hierro y el plomo en el horno: son las impurezas que quedan al refinar la plata.
18 Hijo del hombre, la casa de Israel se me ha tornado en escoria: todos ellos son metal, y estaño, y hierro, y plomo, en medio del horno; escorias de plata se tornaron.
18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to me. All of them are bronze, tin, iron, and lead in the middle of the furnace. They are the dross of silver.
19 “Así que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Porque todos ustedes han terminado como impurezas, vean cómo los reúno en Jerusalén.
19 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis tornado en escorias, por tanto, he aquí que yo os junto en medio de Jerusalem.
19 Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the middle of Jerusalem.
20 De la misma manera que un refinador recoge la plata, el cobre, el hierro, el plomo y el estaño y los mete en el alto horno para fundirlos con fuego, yo voy a recogerlos a ustedes en mi ira ardiente, y los mantendré allí hasta que los funda.
20 Como quien junta plata y metal y hierro y plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundir; así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira, y haré reposar, y os fundiré.
20 As they gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the middle of the furnace, to blow the fire on it, to melt it, so I will gather you in my anger and in my wrath, and I will lay you there and melt you.
21 “Voy a juntarlos a todos y los haré estallar con el fuego de mi ira, y serán fundidos allí en la ciudad.
21 Yo os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él seréis fundidos.
21 Yes, I will gather you, and blow on you with the fire of my wrath, and you will be melted in the middle of it.
22 Como la plata se funde en un horno, así serán fundidos en la ciudad. Entonces te darás cuenta de que yo, el Señor, te he hecho experimentar mi ira”.
22 Como se funde la plata en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo Jehová habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros.
22 As silver is melted in the middle of the furnace, so you will be melted in the middle of it; and you will know that I, Yahweh, have poured out my wrath on you.’”
23 Me llegó otro mensaje del Señor, que decía:
23 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
23 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
24 “Hijo de hombre, dile a la ciudad de Jerusalén que, en el momento del castigo, eres un país que no se ha limpiado, un lugar donde no ha caído lluvia,
24 Hijo del hombre, di á ella: Tú no eres tierra limpia, ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor.
24 “Son of man, tell her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed nor rained on in the day of indignation.’
25 “Sus dirigentes conspiran juntos y es como ver a un león rugiente destrozando a su presa. Destruyen al pueblo, se apoderan de todo lo que es valioso y hacen que haya muchas más viudas en la ciudad.
25 La conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león bramando que arrebata presa: devoraron almas, tomaron haciendas y honra, aumentaron sus viudas en medio de ella.
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets within it, like a roaring lion ravening the prey. They have devoured souls. They take treasure and precious things. They have made many widows within it.
26 “Sus sacerdotes pervierten mi ley y hacen impuras mis cosas sagradas. No distinguen entre lo santo y lo ordinario, y no separan lo limpio de lo impuro. Se olvidan de mis sábados y hacen que la gente no me respete.
26 Sus sacerdotes violentaron mi ley, y contaminaron mis santuarios: entre lo santo y lo profano no hicieron diferencia, ni distinguieron entre inmundo y limpio; y de mis sábados escondieron sus ojos, y yo era profanado en medio de ellos.
26 Her priests have done violence to my law and have profaned my holy things. They have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they caused men to discern between the unclean and the clean, and have hidden their eyes from my Sabbaths. So I am profaned among them.
27 “Los funcionarios de su ciudad son como lobos que desgarran a su presa, matan a la gente y destruyen vidas para beneficiarse con el fraude.
27 Sus príncipes en medio de ella como lobos que arrebataban presa, derramando sangre, para destruir las almas, para pábulo de su avaricia.
27 Her princes within it are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.
28 “Sus profetas encubren lo que hacen, usando visiones falsas como cal y profecías que son mentira, diciendo: ‘Esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios’, cuando el Señor no ha dicho nada.
28 Y sus profetas revocaban con lodo suelto, profetizándoles vanidad, y adivinándoles mentira, diciendo: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová; y Jehová no había hablado.
28 Her prophets have plastered for them with whitewash, seeing false visions, and divining lies to them, saying, ‘The Lord Yahweh says,’ when Yahweh has not spoken.
29 “La gente de este país es chantajista y ladrona. Maltratan a los pobres y a los necesitados y explotan a los extranjeros, tratándolos de manera totalmente injusta.
29 El pueblo de la tierra usaba de opresión, y cometía robo, y al afligido y menesteroso hacían violencia, y al extranjero oprimían sin derecho.
29 The people of the land have used oppression and exercised robbery. Yes, they have troubled the poor and needy, and have oppressed the foreigner wrongfully.
30 “Traté de encontrar a uno de ellos que reparara el muro y defendiera la brecha para que cuando viniera no la destruyera, pero no pude encontrar a nadie.
30 Y busqué de ellos hombre que hiciese vallado, y que se pusiese al portillo delante de mí por la tierra, para que yo no la destruyese; y no [lo] hallé.
30 “I sought for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
31 Así que les he hecho experimentar mi hostilidad, abrasándolos con el fuego de mi ira. Me he asegurado de que sufran las consecuencias de lo que han hecho, declara el Señor Dios”.
31 Por tanto derramé sobre ellos mi ira; con el fuego de mi ira los consumí: torné el camino de ellos sobre su cabeza, dice el Señor Jehová.
31 Therefore I have poured out my indignation on them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have brought their own way on their heads,” says the Lord Yahweh.
