Psalm 24 in VUL = Psalm 25 in RV1909.

VUL Clementine Vulgate
RV1909 Reina-Valera 1909
1 In finem. Psalmus David. [Ad te, Domine, levavi animam meam:
25:1 Salmo de David. A TI, oh Jehová, levantaré mi alma.
4 Confundantur omnes iniqua agentes supervacue. Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi, et semitas tuas edoce me.
25:4 Muéstrame, oh Jehová, tus caminos; enséñame tus sendas.
5 Dirige me in veritate tua, et doce me, quia tu es Deus salvator meus, et te sustinui tota die.
6 Reminiscere miserationum tuarum, Domine, et misericordiarum tuarum quæ a sæculo sunt.
9 Diriget mansuetos in judicio; docebit mites vias suas.
13 Anima ejus in bonis demorabitur, et semen ejus hæreditabit terram.
16 Respice in me, et miserere mei, quia unicus et pauper sum ego.
18 Vide humilitatem meam et laborem meum, et dimitte universa delicta mea.
25:18 Mira mi aflicción y mi trabajo: y perdona todos mis pecados.
19 Respice inimicos meos, quoniam multiplicati sunt, et odio iniquo oderunt me.
20 Custodi animam meam, et erue me: non erubescam, quoniam speravi in te.
21 Innocentes et recti adhæserunt mihi, quia sustinui te.

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations). Verse numbers below follow the Hebrew/English numbering: 25.

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).

who cleansest me from the uncleanness of such affections, directing mine eyes towards Thee, and plucking my feet out of the net.
