1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
1 Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
2 “And you, son of man, do you judge? Do you judge the city of blood? Then you have caused it to know all its abominations,
2 Y tú, hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú á la ciudad derramadora de sangre, y le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones?
2 “You, son of man, will you judge? Will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations.
3 and you have said, Thus said Lord YHWH: The city is shedding blood in its midst, || For the coming in of its time, || And it has made idols on it for defilement.
3 Dirás, pues: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de sí, para que venga su hora, y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarse!
3 You shall say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “A city that sheds blood within herself, that her time may come, and that makes idols against herself to defile her!
4 You have been guilty by your blood that you have shed, || And you have been defiled by your idols that you have made, || And you cause your days to draw near, || And have come to your years, || Therefore I have given you [for] a reproach to nations, || And a derision to all the lands.
4 En tu sangre que derramaste has pecado, y te has contaminado en tus ídolos que hiciste; y has hecho acercar tus días, y has llegado á tus años: por tanto te he dado en oprobio á las gentes, y en escarnio á todas las tierras.
4 You have become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made! You have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the end of your years. Therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.
5 The near and the far-off from you scoff at you, || O defiled of name—abounding in trouble.
5 Las que están cerca, y las que están lejos de ti, se reirán de ti, amancillada de fama, [y] de grande turbación.
5 Those who are near and those who are far from you will mock you, you infamous one, full of tumult.
6 Behold, princes of Israel—each according to his arm || Have been in you to shed blood.
6 He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, fueron en ti para derramar sangre.
6 “‘“Behold, the princes of Israel, everyone according to his power, have been in you to shed blood.
7 They have made light of father and mother in you, || They dealt oppressively to a sojourner in your midst, || They oppressed fatherless and widow in you.
7 Al padre y á la madre despreciaron en ti: al extranjero trataron con calumnia en medio de ti: al huérfano y á la viuda despojaron en ti.
7 In you have they treated father and mother with contempt. Among you they have oppressed the foreigner. In you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.
8 You have despised My holy things, || And you have defiled My Sabbaths.
8 Mis santuarios menospreciaste, y mis sábados has profanado.
8 You have despised my holy things, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
9 Men of slander have been in you to shed blood, || And they have eaten on the mountains in you, || They have done wickedness in your midst.
9 Calumniadores hubo en ti para derramar sangre; y sobre los montes comieron en ti: hicieron en medio de ti suciedades.
9 Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. In you they have eaten on the mountains. They have committed lewdness among you.
10 One has uncovered the nakedness of a father in you, || They humbled the menstruous woman in you.
10 La desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti; la inmunda de menstruo forzaron en ti.
10 In you have they uncovered their fathers’ nakedness. In you have they humbled her who was unclean in her impurity.
11 And each has done abomination with the wife of his neighbor, || And each has defiled his daughter-in-law through wickedness, || And each has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter, in you.
11 Y cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; y cada uno contaminó su nuera torpemente; y cada uno forzó en ti á su hermana, hija de su padre.
11 One has committed abomination with his neighbor’s wife, and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law. Another in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.
12 They have taken a bribe to shed blood in you, || You have taken usury and increase, || And cut off your neighbor by oppression, || And you have forgotten Me, || A declaration of Lord YHWH!
12 Precio recibieron en ti para derramar sangre; usura y logro tomaste, y á tus prójimos defraudaste con violencia: olvidástete de mí, dice el Señor Jehová.
12 In you have they taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbors by oppression, and have forgotten me,” says the Lord Yahweh.
13 And behold, I have struck My hand, || Because of your dishonest gain that you have gained, || And for your blood that has been in your midst.
13 Y he aquí, que herí mi mano á causa de tu avaricia que cometiste, y á causa de tus sangres que fueron en medio de ti.
13 “‘“Behold, therefore I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at the blood which has been shed within you.
14 Does your heart stand—are your hands strong, || For the days that I am dealing with you? I, YHWH, have spoken and have done [it].
14 ¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿tus manos serán fuertes en los días que obraré yo contra ti? Yo Jehová he hablado, y harélo.
14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I will deal with you? I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and will do it.
15 And I have scattered you among nations, || And have spread you out among lands, || And consumed your uncleanness out of you.
15 Y yo te esparciré por las gentes, y te aventaré por las tierras; y haré fenecer de ti tu inmundicia.
15 I will scatter you among the nations, and disperse you through the countries. I will purge your filthiness out of you.
16 And you have been defiled in yourself || Before the eyes of nations, || And you have known that I [am] YHWH.”
16 Y tomarás heredad en ti á los ojos de las gentes; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.
16 You will be profaned in yourself in the sight of the nations. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”’”
17 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
17 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
17 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has been for dross to Me, || All of them [are] bronze, and tin, and iron, and lead, || In the midst of a furnace—silver has been dross,
18 Hijo del hombre, la casa de Israel se me ha tornado en escoria: todos ellos son metal, y estaño, y hierro, y plomo, en medio del horno; escorias de plata se tornaron.
18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to me. All of them are bronze, tin, iron, and lead in the middle of the furnace. They are the dross of silver.
19 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Because you have all become dross, || Therefore, behold, I am gathering you into the midst of Jerusalem,
19 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis tornado en escorias, por tanto, he aquí que yo os junto en medio de Jerusalem.
19 Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the middle of Jerusalem.
20 A gathering of silver, and bronze, and iron, and lead, and tin, || Into the midst of a furnace—to blow fire on it, to melt it, || So I gather in My anger and in My fury, || And I have let rest, and have melted you.
20 Como quien junta plata y metal y hierro y plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundir; así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira, y haré reposar, y os fundiré.
20 As they gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the middle of the furnace, to blow the fire on it, to melt it, so I will gather you in my anger and in my wrath, and I will lay you there and melt you.
21 And I have heaped you up, || And blown on you in the fire of My wrath, || And you have been melted in its midst.
21 Yo os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él seréis fundidos.
21 Yes, I will gather you, and blow on you with the fire of my wrath, and you will be melted in the middle of it.
22 As the melting of silver in the midst of a furnace, || So you are melted in its midst, || And you have known that I, YHWH, have poured out My fury on you.”
22 Como se funde la plata en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo Jehová habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros.
22 As silver is melted in the middle of the furnace, so you will be melted in the middle of it; and you will know that I, Yahweh, have poured out my wrath on you.’”
23 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
23 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
23 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
24 “Son of man, say to it, You [are] a land, || It [is] not cleansed nor rained on in a day of indignation.
24 Hijo del hombre, di á ella: Tú no eres tierra limpia, ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor.
24 “Son of man, tell her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed nor rained on in the day of indignation.’
25 A conspiracy of its prophets [is] in its midst, || As a roaring lion tearing prey; They have devoured the soul, || They have taken wealth and glory, || Its widows have multiplied in its midst.
25 La conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león bramando que arrebata presa: devoraron almas, tomaron haciendas y honra, aumentaron sus viudas en medio de ella.
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets within it, like a roaring lion ravening the prey. They have devoured souls. They take treasure and precious things. They have made many widows within it.
26 Its priests have wronged My law, || And they defile My holy things, || They have not made separation between holy and common, || And they have not made known [the difference] between the unclean and the clean, || And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, || And I am pierced in their midst.
26 Sus sacerdotes violentaron mi ley, y contaminaron mis santuarios: entre lo santo y lo profano no hicieron diferencia, ni distinguieron entre inmundo y limpio; y de mis sábados escondieron sus ojos, y yo era profanado en medio de ellos.
26 Her priests have done violence to my law and have profaned my holy things. They have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they caused men to discern between the unclean and the clean, and have hidden their eyes from my Sabbaths. So I am profaned among them.
27 Its princes [are] as wolves in its midst, || Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, || For the sake of gaining dishonest gain.
27 Sus príncipes en medio de ella como lobos que arrebataban presa, derramando sangre, para destruir las almas, para pábulo de su avaricia.
27 Her princes within it are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.
28 And its prophets have coated with chalk for them, || Seeing a vain thing, and divining a lie for them, || Saying, Thus said Lord YHWH, || And YHWH has not spoken.
28 Y sus profetas revocaban con lodo suelto, profetizándoles vanidad, y adivinándoles mentira, diciendo: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová; y Jehová no había hablado.
28 Her prophets have plastered for them with whitewash, seeing false visions, and divining lies to them, saying, ‘The Lord Yahweh says,’ when Yahweh has not spoken.
29 The people of the land have used oppression, || And have taken plunder away violently, || And have oppressed humble and needy, || And oppressed the sojourner without judgment.
29 El pueblo de la tierra usaba de opresión, y cometía robo, y al afligido y menesteroso hacían violencia, y al extranjero oprimían sin derecho.
29 The people of the land have used oppression and exercised robbery. Yes, they have troubled the poor and needy, and have oppressed the foreigner wrongfully.
30 And I seek from them a man making a wall, || And standing in the breach before Me, || In behalf of the land—not to destroy it, || And I have found none.
30 Y busqué de ellos hombre que hiciese vallado, y que se pusiese al portillo delante de mí por la tierra, para que yo no la destruyese; y no [lo] hallé.
30 “I sought for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
31 And I pour out My indignation on them, || I have consumed them by [the] fire of My wrath, || I have put their way on their own head, || A declaration of Lord YHWH!”
31 Por tanto derramé sobre ellos mi ira; con el fuego de mi ira los consumí: torné el camino de ellos sobre su cabeza, dice el Señor Jehová.
31 Therefore I have poured out my indignation on them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have brought their own way on their heads,” says the Lord Yahweh.
