Tyndale Nuevo Testamento de Tyndale (1534)
RV1909 Reina-Valera 1909
1 Therfore seinge that we have soche an office even as mercy is come on vs we faynte not:
1 POR lo cual teniendo nosotros esta administración según la misericordia que hemos alcanzado, no desmayamos;
2 but have cast from vs the clokes of vnhonestie and walke not in craftines nether corrupte we the worde of God: but walke in open trueth and reporte oure selves to every mannes conscience in the sight of God.
3 Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd it is hid amonge them that are lost
4 in whom the god of this worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleve not lest the light of the glorious gospell of Christ which is the ymage of god shuld shyne vnto them.
5 For we preache not oure selves but Christ Iesus to be the Lorde and oure selves youre servautes for Iesus sake.
6 For it is God that commauded the light to shyne out of darcknes which hath shyned in oure hertes for to geve the light of the knowledge of the glorie of God in the face of Iesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in erthe vessels that the excellent power of it myght appere to be of God and not of vs.
8 We are troubled on every side yet are we not with out shyft. We are in povertie: but not vtterly without somwhat.
8 [Estando] atribulados en todo, mas no angustiados; en apuros, mas no desesperamos;
9 We are persecuted: but are not forsake. We are cast doune: neverthelesse we perisshe not.
9 Perseguidos, mas no desamparados; abatidos, mas no perecemos;
10 And we all wayes beare in oure bodyes the dyinge of the Lorde Iesus that the lyfe of Iesu myght appere in oure bodyes.
11 For we which live are alwayes delyvered vnto deeth for Iesus sake that the lyfe also of Iesu myght appere in oure mortall flesshe.
12 So then deeth worketh in vs and lyfe in you.
13 Seynge then that we have the same sprete of fayth accordinge as it is written: I beleved and therfore have I spoken. We also beleve and therfore speake.
13 Empero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme á lo que está escrito: Creí, por lo cual también hablé: nosotros también creemos, por lo cual también hablamos;
14 For we knowe that he which raysed vp the Lorde Iesus shall rayse vp vs also by the meanes of Iesus and shall seet vs with you.
15 For all thinges do I for youre sakes that the plenteous grace by thankes geve of many maye redounde to the prayse of god.
16 Wherfore we are not weried but though oure vttward man perisshe yet the inwarde man is renewed daye by daye.
17 For oure excedinge tribulacion which is momentany and light prepareth an excedinge and an eternall wayght of glorye vnto vs
17 Porque lo que al presente es momentáneo y leve de nuestra tribulación, nos obra un sobremanera alto [y] eterno peso de gloria;
18 whill we loke not on the thynges which are sene but on the thynges which are not sene. For thinges which are sene are temporall: but thynges which are not sene are eternall

  1. Comentario 4:1 John Chrysostom, Homilies on Second Corinthians (Homily VIII)

    Seeing he had uttered great things and had set himself and all the faithful before Moses, aware of the height and greatness of what he had said, observe how he moderates his tone again.

  2. Cita 4:4 Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies (Book III, Chapter VII)

    As to their affirming that Paul said plainly in the Second [Epistle] to the Corinthians, "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not," and maintaining that there is indeed one god of this world, but another who is beyond all principality, and beginning, and power, we are not to blame if they, …

  3. Cita 4:16 Augustine of Hippo, The City of God (Book XIII, Chapters 21–23)

    … contrary, it so thoroughly adopts it, that even while a man is alive, and body and soul are united, it calls each of them singly by the name "man," speaking of the soul as the "inward man," and of the body as the "outward man," as if there were two men, though both together are indeed but one.

  4. Cita 4:17 John Chrysostom, Homilies on the Gospel of Matthew (Homily XVI)

    Hear, for instance, how of those passions Paul is ashamed, even after his deliverance from them, saying, "For what fruit had ye then in those things, whereof ye are now ashamed?" But virtue, even after his labor, he affirms to be light, calling the laboriousness of our affliction momentary and "light," and rejoicing in his sufferings, and glorying in his …

  5. Cita 4:4 Cyril of Jerusalem, Catechetical Lectures (Lecture VI)

    For it is Paul who saith, In whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the Gospel should shine unto them." But Archelaus made a good retort, saying, "Read a little before: But if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that are perishing.
