1 Nema slobodnog koji bi ga probudio; a ko će stati preda me?
1 ¿SACARÁS tú al leviathán con el anzuelo, ó con la cuerda que le echares en su lengua?
1 “Can you draw out Leviathan with a fish hook, or press down his tongue with a cord?
2 Ko mi je pre dao šta, da mu vratim? Šta je god pod svim nebom, moje je.
2 ¿Pondrás tú garfio en sus narices, y horadarás con espinas su quijada?
2 Can you put a rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
3 Neću ćutati o udima njegovim ni o sili ni o lepoti stasa njegovog.
3 ¿Multiplicará él ruegos para contigo? ¿hablaráte él lisonjas?
3 Will he make many petitions to you, or will he speak soft words to you?
4 Ko će mu uzgrnuti gornju odeću? K čeljustima njegovim ko će pristupiti?
4 ¿Hará concierto contigo para que lo tomes por siervo perpetuo?
4 Will he make a covenant with you, that you should take him for a servant forever?
5 Vrata grla njegovog ko će otvoriti? Strah je oko zuba njegovih.
5 ¿Jugarás tú con él como con pájaro, ó lo atarás para tus niñas?
5 Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your girls?
6 Krljušti su mu jaki štitovi spojeni tvrdo.
6 ¿Harán de él banquete los compañeros? ¿partiránlo entre los mercaderes?
6 Will traders barter for him? Will they part him among the merchants?
7 Blizu su jedna do druge da ni vetar ne ulazi među njih.
7 ¿Cortarás tú con cuchillo su cuero, ó con asta de pescadores su cabeza?
7 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fish spears?
8 Jedna je za drugu prionula, drže se i ne rastavljaju se.
8 Pon tu mano sobre él; te acordarás de la batalla, y nunca más tornarás.
8 Lay your hand on him. Remember the battle, and do so no more.
9 Kad kiha kao da munja seva, a oči su mu kao trepavice u zore.
9 He aquí que la esperanza acerca de él será burlada: porque aun á su sola vista se desmayarán.
9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain. Won’t one be cast down even at the sight of him?
10 Iz usta mu izlaze lučevi, i iskre ognjene skaču.
10 Nadie hay tan osado que lo despierte: ¿quién pues podrá estar delante de mí?
10 None is so fierce that he dare stir him up. Who then is he who can stand before me?
11 Iz nozdrva mu izlazi dim kao iz vrelog lonca ili kotla.
11 ¿Quién me ha anticipado, para que yo restituya? [Todo lo que hay] debajo del cielo es mío.
11 Who has first given to me, that I should repay him? Everything under the heavens is mine.
12 Dah njegov raspaljuje ugljevlje i plamen mu izlazi iz usta.
12 Yo no callaré sus miembros, ni lo de sus fuerzas y la gracia de su disposición.
12 “I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame.
13 U vratu mu stoji sila, i pred njim ide strah.
13 ¿Quién descubrirá la delantera de su vestidura? ¿quién se llegará á él con freno doble?
13 Who can strip off his outer garment? Who will come within his jaws?
14 Udi mesa njegovog spojeni su, jednostavno je na njemu, ne razmiče se.
14 ¿Quién abrirá las puertas de su rostro? Los órdenes de sus dientes espantan.
14 Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror.
15 Srce mu je tvrdo kao kamen, tvrdo kao donji žrvanj.
15 La gloria [de su vestido son] escudos fuertes, cerrados entre sí estrechamente.
15 Strong scales are his pride, shut up together with a close seal.
16 Kad se digne, drhću junaci, i od straha očišćaju se od greha svojih.
16 El uno se junta con el otro, que viento no entra entre ellos.
16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
17 Da ga udari mač, ne može se održati, ni koplje ni strela ni oklop.
17 Pegado está el uno con el otro, están trabados entre sí, que no se pueden apartar.
17 They are joined to one another. They stick together, so that they can’t be pulled apart.
18 Njemu je gvožđe kao pleva, a bronza kao trulo drvo.
18 Con sus estornudos encienden lumbre, y sus ojos son como los párpados del alba.
18 His sneezing flashes out light. His eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
19 Neće ga poterati strela, kamenje iz praće njemu je kao slamka;
19 De su boca salen hachas de fuego; centellas de fuego proceden.
19 Out of his mouth go burning torches. Sparks of fire leap out.
20 Kao slama su mu ubojne sprave, i smeje se bačenom koplju.
20 De sus narices sale humo, como de una olla ó caldero que hierve.
20 Out of his nostrils a smoke goes, as of a boiling pot over a fire of reeds.
21 Pod njim su oštri crepovi, stere sebi oštre stvari u glibu.
21 Su aliento enciende los carbones, y de su boca sale llama.
21 His breath kindles coals. A flame goes out of his mouth.
22 Čini, te vri dubina kao lonac, i more se muti kao u stupi.
22 En su cerviz mora la fortaleza, y espárcese el desaliento delante de él.
22 There is strength in his neck. Terror dances before him.
23 Za sobom ostavlja svetlu stazu, rekao bi da je bezdana osedela.
23 Las partes momias de su carne están apretadas: están en él firmes, y no se mueven.
23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together. They are firm on him. They can’t be moved.
24 Ništa nema na zemlji da bi se isporedilo s njim, da bi stvoreno bilo da se ničega ne boji.
24 Su corazón es firme como una piedra, y fuerte como la muela de abajo.
24 His heart is as firm as a stone, yes, firm as the lower millstone.
25 Šta je god visoko prezire, car je nad svim zverjem.
25 De su grandeza tienen temor los fuertes, y á causa de su desfallecimiento hacen por purificarse.
25 When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid. They retreat before his thrashing.
