FBV Free Bible Version (Versión Biblia Libre en inglés) WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 Here is the beginning of the good news about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 1 PRINCIPIO del evangelio de Jesucristo, Hijo de Dios.
1 The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 Just as the prophet Isaiah wrote, “I'm sending my messenger ahead of you to prepare your way. 2 Como está escrito en Isaías el profeta: He aquí yo envío á mi mensajero delante de tu faz, que apareje tu camino delante de ti.
2 As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:
3 A voice is calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the Lord's way! Make his paths straight.’” 3 Voz del que clama en el desierto: Aparejad el camino del Señor; enderezad sus veredas.
3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”
4 John came, baptizing in the desert, announcing a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
5 Everybody from the country of Judea and from Jerusalem went to him. They admitted their sins publicly and were baptized in the Jordan River.
5 All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
6 John wore clothes made of camel hair, with a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
6 John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
7 This is what he had to say: “After me someone is coming who is greater than I am. I'm not worthy to bend down and untie his sandals. 7 Y predicaba, diciendo: Viene tras mí el que es más poderoso que yo, al cual no soy digno de desatar encorvado la correa de sus zapatos.
7 He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
8 I baptized you in water but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.” 8 Yo á la verdad os he bautizado con agua; mas él os bautizará con Espíritu Santo.
8 I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”
9 Then Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River.
9 In those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 As Jesus came out of the water, he saw the heavens split apart and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.
10 Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11 A voice from heaven said, “You are my son, the one I love. I am very pleased with you.” 11 Y hubo [una] voz de los cielos [que decía]: Tú eres mi Hijo amado; en ti tomo contentamiento.
11 A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
12 Right after this the Spirit sent him away into the desert 12 Y luego el Espíritu le impele al desierto.
12 Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.
13 where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was with the wild animals, and angels took care of him.
13 He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
14 Later, after John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee, announcing God's good news.
14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
15 “The time predicted has come,” he said. “God's kingdom has arrived! Repent and believe in the good news.” 15 Y diciendo: El tiempo es cumplido, y el reino de Dios está cerca: arrepentíos, y creed al evangelio.
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
16 As he was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they made their living by fishing.
16 Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 “Come and follow me,” he told them, “and I will have you fishing for people.” 17 Y les dijo Jesús: Venid en pos de mí, y haré que seáis pescadores de hombres.
17 Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
18 They left their nets at once and followed him. 18 Y luego, dejadas sus redes, le siguieron.
18 Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
19 He went a little farther and saw James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in a boat mending their nets.
19 Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
20 Immediately he called them to follow him, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired workers, and followed Jesus.
20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
21 They left for Capernaum, and on the Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and taught there.
21 They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
22 The people were amazed at his teaching, for he spoke with authority, unlike the religious teachers.
22 They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Suddenly, right there in the synagogue, a man with an evil spirit started shouting out, 23 Y había en la sinagoga de ellos un hombre con espíritu inmundo, el cual dió voces,
23 Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
24 “Jesus of Nazareth, why are you bothering us? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are! You're God's Holy One!” 24 Diciendo: ¡Ah! ¿qué tienes con nosotros, Jesús Nazareno? ¿Has venido á destruirnos? Sé quién eres, el Santo de Dios.
24 saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
25 Jesus interrupted the evil spirit, telling him, “Be quiet! Come out of him.” 25 Y Jesús le riñó, diciendo: Enmudece, y sal de él.
25 Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
26 The evil spirit screamed, threw the man into convulsions, and came out of him.
26 The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 Everyone was amazed at what happened. “What is this?” they asked each other. “What is this new teaching that has such authority? Even evil spirits do what he tells them!” 27 Y todos se maravillaron, de tal manera que inquirían entre sí, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto? ¿Qué nueva doctrina es ésta, que con potestad aun á los espíritus inmundos manda, y le obedecen?
27 They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What can this new doctrine be? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
28 News about him spread quickly throughout the whole region of Galilee.
28 The report of him went out immediately into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
29 Then they left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon and Andrew, along with James and John.
29 Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Simon's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever, so they told Jesus about her.
30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
31 He went to her, took her by the hand, and helped her up. The fever immediately left her. Then she made them a meal.
31 He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.
32 After sunset that evening, those who were sick and demon-possessed were brought to Jesus. 32 Y cuando fué la tarde, luego que el sol se puso, traían á él todos los que tenían mal, y endemoniados;
32 At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
33 The whole of the town gathered outside.
33 All the city was gathered together at the door.
34 He healed many people who had various diseases, and threw out many demons. He did not permit the demons to speak, for they knew who he was.
34 He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and went alone to a quiet place to pray.
35 Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
36 Simon and the others went to search for him. 36 Y le siguió Simón, y los que estaban con él;
36 Simon and those who were with him searched for him.
37 When they found him, they told him, “Everybody's looking for you.” 37 Y hallándole, le dicen: Todos te buscan.
37 They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
38 But Jesus replied, “We have to go to the other towns around here so that I can tell them the good news as well—for that's why I came.” 38 Y les dice: Vamos á los lugares vecinos, para que predique también allí; porque para esto he venido.
38 He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”
39 So he went all over Galilee, speaking in the synagogues and expelling demons.
39 He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
40 A leper came to him asking for help. The man kneeled down before Jesus, saying, “Please, if you're willing, you can heal me!” 40 Y un leproso vino á él, rogándole; é hincada la rodilla, le dice: Si quieres, puedes limpiarme.
40 A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
41 With compassion Jesus reached out and touched the man, and said, “I am willing. Be healed!” 41 Y Jesús, teniendo misericordia de él, extendió su mano, y le tocó, y le dice: Quiero, sé limpio.
41 Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
42 The leprosy left him immediately, and he was healed.
42 When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.
43 Jesus sent him away with a strong warning. 43 Entonces le apercibió, y despidióle luego,
43 He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,
44 “Make sure you don't tell anybody anything about this,” he told him. “Go to the priest and show yourself to him. Give the offering which is required by the law of Moses for such cleansing, so that people will have proof.” 44 Y le dice: Mira, no digas á nadie nada; sino ve, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu limpieza lo que Moisés mandó, para testimonio á ellos.
44 and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
45 But the healed leper went out and told everyone what had happened. As a result Jesus could not openly go into the cities anymore, but had to stay out in the country where people came to him from everywhere around.
45 But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
