GNV Biblia de Ginebra (1599) WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 And as Iaakob lift vp his eyes, and looked, behold, Esau came, and with him foure hundreth men: and he deuided the children to Leah, and to Rahel, and to the two maides.
1 Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. He divided the children between Leah, Rachel, and the two servants.
2 And he put the maides, and their children formost, and Leah, and her children after, and Rahel, and Ioseph hindermost.
2 He put the servants and their children in front, Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph at the rear.
3 So he went before them and bowed him selfe to the ground seuen times, vntill he came neere to his brother.
3 He himself passed over in front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 Then Esau ranne to meete him, and embraced him, and fell on his necke, and kissed him, and they wept.
4 Esau ran to meet him, embraced him, fell on his neck, kissed him, and they wept.
5 And he lift vp his eyes, and sawe the women, and the children, and saide, Who are these with thee? And he answered, They are ye childre whome God of his grace hath giuen thy seruant.
5 He lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, “Who are these with you?” He said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”
6 Then came the maides neere, they, and their children, and bowed themselues.
6 Then the servants came near with their children, and they bowed themselves.
7 Leah also with her children came neere and made obeysance: and after Ioseph and Rahel drew neere, and did reuerence.
7 Leah also and her children came near, and bowed themselves. After them, Joseph came near with Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
8 Then he said, What meanest thou by all this droue, which I met? Who answered, I haue sent it, that I may finde fauour in the sight of my lorde: 8 Y él dijo: ¿Qué te propones con todas estas cuadrillas que he encontrado?
8 Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.”
9 And Esau said, I haue ynough, my brother: keepe that thou hast to thy selfe.
9 Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; let that which you have be yours.”
10 But Iaakob answered, Nay, I pray thee: if I haue found grace nowe in thy sight, then receiue my present at mine hande: for I haue seene thy face, as though I had seene the face of God, because thou hast accepted me. 10 Y dijo Jacob: No, yo te ruego, si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, toma mi presente de mi mano, pues que así he visto tu rostro, como si hubiera visto el rostro de Dios; y hazme placer.
10 Jacob said, “Please, no, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand, because I have seen your face, as one sees the face of God, and you were pleased with me.
11 I pray thee take my blessing, that is brought thee: for God hath had mercie on me, and therefore I haue all things: so he compelled him, and he tooke it. 11 Toma, te ruego, mi dádiva que te es traída; porque Dios me ha hecho merced, y todo lo que hay [aquí] es mío. Y porfió con él, y tomóla.
11 Please take the gift that I brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” He urged him, and he took it.
12 And he saide, Let vs take our iourney and go, and I will goe before thee. 12 Y dijo: Anda, y vamos; y yo iré delante de ti.
12 Esau said, “Let’s take our journey, and let’s go, and I will go before you.”
13 Then he answered him, My lord knoweth, that the children are tender, and the ewes and kine with yong vnder mine hande: and if they should ouerdriue them one day, all the flocke would die.
13 Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.
14 Let now my lord go before his seruant, and I will driue softly, according to ye pase of ye cattel, which is before me, and as the children be able to endure, vntill I come to my lord vnto Seir.
14 Please let my lord pass over before his servant, and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the livestock that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come to my lord to Seir.”
15 Then Esau said, I will leaue then some of my folke with thee. And he answered, what needeth this? let me finde grace in the sight of my lorde.
15 Esau said, “Let me now leave with you some of the people who are with me.” He said, “Why? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”
16 So Esau returned, and went his way that same day vnto Seir.
16 So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.
17 And Iaakob went forwarde towarde Succoth, and built him an house, and made boothes for his cattell: therefore he called the name of the place Succoth.
17 Jacob traveled to Succoth, built himself a house, and made shelters for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
18 Afterward, Iaakob came safe to Sheche a citie, which is in the lande of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram, and pitched before the citie.

19 He bought the parcel of ground where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for one hundred pieces of money.
20 And he set vp there an altar, and called it, The mightie God of Israel.
