1 Υἱὸς ἐπτὰ ἐτῶν Ἰωὰς ἐν τῷ βασιλεύειν αὐτόν.
1 EN el séptimo año de Jehú comenzó á reinar Joas, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Sibia, de Beer-seba.
1 Jehoash began to reign in the seventh year of Jehu, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zibiah of Beersheba.
2 Ἐν ἔτει ἑβδόμῳ τῷ Ἰοὺ ἐβασίλευσεν Ἰωὰς, καὶ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ, καὶ ὄνομα τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ Σαβιὰ ἐκ τῆς Βηρσαβεέ.
2 Y Joas hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová todo el tiempo que le dirigió el sacerdote Joiada.
2 Jehoash did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes all his days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
3 Καὶ ἐποίησεν Ἰωὰς τὸ εὐθὲς ἐνώπιον Κυρίου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς ἐφώτισεν αὐτὸν Ἰωδαὲ ὁ ἱερεύς.
3 Con todo eso los altos no se quitaron; que aun sacrificaba y quemaba el pueblo perfumes en los altos.
3 However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.
4 Πλὴν τῶν ὑψηλῶν οὐ μετεστάθησαν, καὶ ἐκεῖ ἔτι ὁ λαὸς ἐθυσίαζε, καὶ ἐθυμίων ἐν τοῖς ὑψηλοῖς.
4 Y Joas dijo á los sacerdotes: Todo el dinero de las santificaciones que se suele traer á la casa de Jehová, el dinero de los que pasan [en cuenta], el dinero por las personas, cada cual según su tasa, y todo el dinero que cada uno de su propia voluntad mete en la casa de Jehová,
4 Jehoash said to the priests, “All the money of the holy things that is brought into Yahweh’s house, in current money, the money of the people for whom each man is evaluated, and all the money that it comes into any man’s heart to bring into Yahweh’s house,
5 Καὶ εἶπεν Ἰωὰς πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς, πᾶν τὸ ἀργύριον τῶν ἁγίων τὸ εἰσοδιαζόμενον ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Κυρίου, ἀργύριον συντιμήσεως, ἀνὴρ ἀργύριον λαβὼν συντιμήσεως, πᾶν ἀργύριον ὃ ἐὰν ἀναβῇ ἐπὶ καρδίαν ἀνδρὸς ἐνεγκεῖν ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου,
5 Recíbanlo los sacerdotes, cada uno de sus familiares, y reparen los portillos del templo donde quiera que se hallare abertura.
5 let the priests take it to them, each man from his donor; and they shall repair the damage to the house, wherever any damage is found.”
6 λαβέτωσαν ἑαυτοῖς οἱ ἱερεῖς, ἀνὴρ ἀπὸ τῆς πράσεως αὐτοῦ, καὶ αὐτοὶ κρατήσουσι τὸ βεδὲκ τοῦ οἴκου εἰς πάντα οὗ ἐὰν εὑρεθῇ ἐκεῖ βεδέκ.
6 Pero el año veintitrés del rey Joas, no habían aún reparado los sacerdotes las aberturas del templo.
6 But it was so, that in the twenty-third year of King Jehoash the priests had not repaired the damage to the house.
7 Καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ εἰκοστῷ καὶ τρίτῳ ἔτει τῷ βασιλεῖ Ἰωὰς οὐκ ἐκραταίωσαν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὸ βεδέκ τοῦ οἴκου.
7 Llamando entonces el rey Joas al pontífice Joiada y á los sacerdotes, díjoles: ¿Por qué no reparáis las aberturas del templo? Ahora pues, no toméis más el dinero de vuestros familiares, sino dadlo para [reparar] las roturas del templo.
7 Then King Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and for the other priests, and said to them, “Why aren’t you repairing the damage to the house? Now therefore take no more money from your treasurers, but deliver it for repair of the damage to the house.”
8 Καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Ἰωὰς ὁ βασιλεὺς Ἰωδαὲ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ τοὺς ἱερεῖς, καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτούς, τί ὅτι οὐκ ἐκραταιοῦτε τὸ βεδὲκ τοῦ οἴκου; καὶ νῦν μὴ λάβητε ἀργύριον ἀπὸ τῶν πράσεων ὑμῶν, ὅτι εἰς τὸ βεδὲκ τοῦ οἴκου δώσετε αὐτό.
8 Y los sacerdotes consintieron en no tomar [más] dinero del pueblo, ni tener cargo de reparar las aberturas del templo.
8 The priests consented that they should take no more money from the people, and not repair the damage to the house.
9 Καὶ συνεφώνησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς τοῦ μὴ λαβεῖν ἀργύριον παρὰ τοῦ λαοῦ, καὶ τοῦ μὴ ἐνισχῦσαι τὸ βεδὲκ τοῦ οἴκου.
9 Mas el pontífice Joiada tomó un arca, é hízole en la tapa un agujero, y púsola junto al altar, á la mano derecha como se entra en el templo de Jehová; y los sacerdotes que guardaban la puerta, ponían allí todo el dinero que se metía en la casa de Jehová.
9 But Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in its lid, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one comes into Yahweh’s house; and the priests who kept the threshold put all the money that was brought into Yahweh’s house into it.
10 Καὶ ἔλαβεν Ἰωδαὲ ὁ ἱερεὺς κιβωτὸν μίαν, καὶ ἔτρησε τρώγλην ἐπὶ τῇς σανίδος αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν παρὰ ἁμμαζειβὶ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ ἀδρος οἴκου Κυρίου· και ἔδωκας οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ ἱεπεῖς φυλάσσοντες τὸν σταθμὸν πᾶν τὸ ἀργύριον τὸ εὑρεθὲν ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου·
10 Y cuando veían que había mucho dinero en el arca, venía el notario del rey y el gran sacerdote, y contaban el dinero que hallaban en el templo de Jehová, y guardábanlo.
10 When they saw that there was much money in the chest, the king’s scribe and the high priest came up, and they put it in bags and counted the money that was found in Yahweh’s house.
11 Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς εἶδον ὅτι πολὺ τὸ ἀργύριον ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ, καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ γραμματεὺς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ μέγας, καὶ ἔσθιγξαν καὶ ἠρίθμησαν τὸ ἀργύριον τὸ εὑρεθὲν ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου.
11 Y daban el dinero suficiente en mano de los que hacían la obra, y de los que tenían el cargo de la casa de Jehová; y ellos lo expendían en [pagar] los carpinteros y maestros que reparaban la casa de Jehová,
11 They gave the money that was weighed out into the hands of those who did the work, who had the oversight of Yahweh’s house; and they paid it out to the carpenters and the builders who worked on Yahweh’s house,
12 Καὶ ἔδωκαν τὸ ἀργύριον τὸ ἑτοιμασθὲν ἐπὶ χεῖρας ποιούντων τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἐπισκοπῶν οἴκου· Κυρίου, καὶ ἐξέδοσαν τοῖς τέκτοσι τῶν ξύλων, καὶ τοῖς οἱκοδόμοις τοῖς ποιοῦσιν ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου,
12 Y los albañiles y canteros; y en comprar la madera y piedra de cantería para reparar las aberturas de la casa de Jehová; y en todo lo que se gastaba en la casa para repararla.
12 and to the masons and the stone cutters, and for buying timber and cut stone to repair the damage to Yahweh’s house, and for all that was laid out for the house to repair it.
13 καὶ τοῖς τειχισταῖς, καὶ τοῖς λατόμοις τῶν λίθων τοῦ κτήσασθαι ξύλα καὶ λίθους λατομητοὺς τοῦ κατασχεῖν τὸ βεδὲκ οἴκου Κυρίου, εἰς πάντα ὅσα ἐξωδιάσθη ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ κραταιῶσαι.
13 Mas de aquel dinero que se traía á la casa de Jehová, no se hacían tazas de plata, ni salterios, ni jofainas, ni trompetas; ni ningún otro vaso de oro ni de plata se hacía para el templo de Jehová:
13 But there were not made for Yahweh’s house cups of silver, snuffers, basins, trumpets, any vessels of gold or vessels of silver, of the money that was brought into Yahweh’s house;
14 Πλὴν οὐ ποιηθήσονται οἴκῳ Κυρίου θύραι ἀργυραῖ, ἧλοι, φιάλαι, καὶ σάλπιγγες, πᾶν σκεῦος χρυσοῦν, καὶ σκεῦος ἀργυροῦν, ἐκ τοῦ ἀργυρίου τοῦ εἰσενεχθέντος ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου,
14 Porque lo daban á los que hacían la obra, y con él reparaban la casa de Jehová.
14 for they gave that to those who did the work, and repaired Yahweh’s house with it.
15 ὅτι τοῖς ποιοῦσι τὰ ἔργα δώσουσιν αὐτό· καὶ ἐκραταίωσαν ἐν αὐτῷ τὸν οἶκον Κυρίου.
15 Y no se tomaba cuenta á los hombres en cuyas manos el dinero era entregado, para que ellos lo diesen á los que hacían la obra: porque [lo] hacían ellos fielmente.
15 Moreover they didn’t demand an accounting from the men into whose hand they delivered the money to give to those who did the work; for they dealt faithfully.
16 Καὶ οὐκ ἐξελογίζοντο τοὺς ἄνδρας οἷς ἐδίδουν τὸ ἀργύριον ἐπὶ χεῖρας αὐτῶν δοῦναι τοῖς ποιοῦσι τὰ ἔργα, ὅτι ἐν πίστει αὐτῶν ποιοῦσιν.
16 El dinero por el delito, y el dinero por los pecados, no se metía en la casa de Jehová; porque era de los sacerdotes.
16 The money for the trespass offerings and the money for the sin offerings was not brought into Yahweh’s house. It was the priests’.
17 Ἀργύριον περὶ ἁμαρτίας, καὶ ἀργύριον περὶ πλημμελείας, ὅ, τι εἰσηνέχθη ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου, τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν ἐγένετο.
17 Entonces subió Hazael rey de Siria, y peleó contra Gath, y tomóla: y puso Hazael su rostro para subir contra Jerusalem;
17 Then Hazael king of Syria went up and fought against Gath, and took it; and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.
18 Τότε ἀνέβη Ἀζαὴλ βασιλεὺς Συρίας, καὶ ἐπολέμησεν ἐπὶ Γὲθ, καὶ προκατελάβετο αὐτήν· καὶ ἔταξεν Ἀζαὴλ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἀναβῆναι ἐπὶ Ἱερουσαλήμ.
18 Por lo que tomó Joas rey de Judá todas las ofrendas que había dedicado Josaphat, y Joram y Ochôzías sus padres, reyes de Judá, y las que él había dedicado, y todo el oro que se halló en los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey, y enviólo á Hazael rey de Siria: y él se partió de Jerusalem.
18 Jehoash king of Judah took all the holy things that Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own holy things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and of the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria; and he went away from Jerusalem.
19 Καὶ ἔλαβεν Ἰωὰς βασιλεὺς Ἰούδα πάντα τὰ ἅγια ὅσα ἡγίασεν Ἰωσαφὰτ καὶ Ἰωρὰμ καὶ Ὀχοζίας οἱ πατέρες αὐτοῦ καὶ βασιλεῖς Ἰούδα, καὶ τὰ ἅγια αὐτοῦ, καὶ πᾶν τὸ χρυσίον τὸ εὑρεθὲν ἐν θησαυροῖς οἴκου Κυρίου καὶ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως, καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τῷ Ἀζαὴλ βασιλεῖ Συρίας, καὶ ἀνέβη ἀπὸ Ἱερουσαλήμ.
19 Lo demás de los hechos de Joas, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
19 Now the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
20 Καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῶν λόγων Ἰωὰς καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν, οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταῦτα γεγραμμένα ἐπὶ βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν Ἰούδα;
20 Y levantáronse sus siervos, y conspiraron en conjuración, y mataron á Joas en la casa de Millo, descendiendo él á Silla;
20 His servants arose and made a conspiracy, and struck Joash at the house of Millo, on the way that goes down to Silla.
21 Καὶ ἀνέστησαν οἱ δοῦλοι αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔδησαν πάντα σύνδεσμον, καὶ ἐπάταξαν τὸν Ἰωὰς ἐν οἴκῳ Μαλλὼ τῷ ἐν Σελά.
21 Pues Josachâr hijo de Simaath, y Jozabad hijo de Somer, sus siervos, hiriéronle, y murió. Y sepultáronlo con sus padres en la ciudad de David, y reinó en su lugar Amasías su hijo.
21 For Jozacar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, struck him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in David’s city; and Amaziah his son reigned in his place.
22 Καὶ Ἰεζιρχὰρ υἱὸς Ἱεμουὰθ, καὶ Ἰεζεβοὺθ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Σωμὴρ, οἱ δοῦλοι αὐτοῦ, ἐπάταξαν αὐτὸν καὶ ἀπέθανε, καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ ἑν πόλει Δαυίδ· καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Ἀμεσσείας υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ.
