1 Και εν τω εβδόμω μηνί ο Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου, υιού του Ελισαμά, εκ του βασιλικού σπέρματος και εκ των αρχόντων του βασιλέως, και δέκα άνδρες μετ' αυτού, ήλθον προς τον Γεδαλίαν τον υιόν του Αχικάμ εις Μισπά· και συνέφαγον εκεί άρτον εν Μισπά.
1 Y ACONTECIÓ en el mes séptimo, que vino Ismael hijo de Nethanías, hijo de Elisama, de la simiente real, y [algunos] príncipes del rey, y diez hombres con él, á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam en Mizpa; y comieron pan juntos allí en Mizpa.
1 Now in the seventh month, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal offspring and one of the chief officers of the king, and ten men with him, came to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they ate bread together in Mizpah.
2 Και εσηκώθη Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου και οι δέκα άνδρες οι όντες μετ' αυτού και επάταξαν τον Γεδαλίαν τον υιόν του Αχικάμ υιού του Σαφάν διά ρομφαίας και εθανάτωσαν αυτόν, τον οποίον ο βασιλεύς της Βαβυλώνος είχε καταστήσει επί την γην.
2 Y levantóse Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y los diez hombres que con él estaban, é hirieron á cuchillo á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán, matando así á aquel á quien el rey de Babilonia había puesto sobre la tierra.
2 Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah arose, and the ten men who were with him, and struck Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the sword and killed him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.
3 Και πάντας τους Ιουδαίους τους όντας μετ' αυτού, μετά του Γεδαλίου εν Μισπά, και τους Χαλδαίους τους ευρεθέντας εκεί, άνδρας πολεμιστάς, επάταξεν ο Ισμαήλ.
3 Asimismo hirió Ismael á todos los Judíos que estaban con él, con Gedalías en Mizpa, y á los soldados Caldeos que allí se hallaron.
3 Ishmael also killed all the Jews who were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and the Chaldean men of war who were found there.
4 Και την δευτέραν ημέραν, αφού εθανάτωσε τον Γεδαλίαν, και ουδείς είχε μάθει αυτό,
4 Sucedió además, un día después que mató á Gedalías, cuando nadie lo sabía aún,
4 The second day after he had killed Gedaliah, and no man knew it,
5 τότε τινές από Συχέμ, από Σηλώ και από Σαμαρείας, ογδοήκοντα άνδρες, εξυρισμένοι τους πώγωνας και διεσχισμένοι τα ιμάτια και με εντομάς εις το σώμα, ήρχοντο μετά προσφοράς και λιβανίου εν τη χειρί αυτών, διά να φέρωσιν εις τον οίκον του Κυρίου.
5 Que venían unos hombres de Sichêm y de Silo y de Samaria, ochenta hombres, raída la barba, y rotas las ropas, y arañados, y traían en sus manos ofrenda y perfume para llevar á la casa de Jehová.
5 men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, even eighty men, having their beards shaved and their clothes torn, and having cut themselves, with meal offerings and frankincense in their hand, to bring them to Yahweh’s house.
6 Και εξήλθεν Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου εις απάντησιν αυτών εκ Μισπά, κλαίων ενώ επορεύετο· και ότε απήντησεν αυτούς, είπε προς αυτούς, Εισέλθετε προς Γεδαλίαν τον υιόν του Αχικάμ.
6 Y de Mizpa salióles al encuentro, llorando, Ismael hijo de Nethanías: y aconteció que como los encontró, díjoles: Venid á Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam.
6 Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went, and as he met them, he said to them, “Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.”
7 Και ότε ήλθον εις το μέσον της πόλεως, Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου έσφαξεν αυτούς και έρριψεν εις το μέσον του λάκκου, αυτός και οι άνδρες οι μετ' αυτού.
7 Y fué que cuando llegaron al medio de la ciudad, Ismael hijo de Nethanías los degolló, [y echólos] en medio de un aljibe, él y los hombres que con él estaban.
7 It was so, when they came into the middle of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah killed them, and cast them into the middle of the pit, he, and the men who were with him.
8 Δέκα όμως άνδρες ευρέθησαν μεταξύ αυτών και είπον προς τον Ισμαήλ, Μη μας θανατώσης, διότι έχομεν θησαυρούς εν τω αγρώ, σίτον και κριθήν και έλαιον και μέλι. Ούτως εκρατήθη και δεν εθανάτωσεν αυτούς μεταξύ των αδελφών αυτών.
8 Mas entre aquellos fueron hallados diez hombres que dijeron á Ismael: No nos mates; porque tenemos en el campo tesoros de trigos, y cebadas, y aceite, y miel. Y dejólos, y no los mató entre sus hermanos.
8 But ten men were found among those who said to Ishmael, “Don’t kill us; for we have stores hidden in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey.” So he stopped, and didn’t kill them among their brothers.
9 Ο δε λάκκος, εις τον οποίον ο Ισμαήλ έρριψε πάντα τα πτώματα των ανδρών, τους οποίους επάταξεν εξ αιτίας του Γεδαλίου, ήτο εκείνος, τον οποίον ο βασιλεύς Ασά είχε κάμει υπό φόβου του Βαασά βασιλέως του Ισραήλ· τούτον ο Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου εγέμισεν από των θανατωθέντων.
9 Y el aljibe en que echó Ismael todos los cuerpos de los hombres que hirió por causa de Gedalías, era el mismo que había hecho el rey Asa por causa de Baasa, rey de Israel: llenólo de muertos Ismael, hijo de Nethanías.
9 Now the pit in which Ishmael cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had killed, by the side of Gedaliah (this was that which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel), Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with those who were killed.
10 Και ηχμαλώτισεν ο Ισμαήλ άπαν το υπόλοιπον του λαού το εν Μισπά, τας θυγατέρας του βασιλέως και πάντα τον λαόν τον εναπολειφθέντα εν Μισπά, τον οποίον Νεβουζαραδάν ο αρχισωματοφύλαξ είχεν εμπιστευθή εις τον Γεδαλίαν τον υιόν του Αχικάμ· και ηχμαλώτισεν αυτά ο Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου και ανεχώρησε, διά να περάση προς τους υιούς Αμμών.
10 Después llevó Ismael cautivo á todo el resto del pueblo que estaba en Mizpa; á las hijas del rey, y á todo el pueblo que en Mizpa había quedado, el cual había Nabuzaradán capitán de la guardia encargado á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam. Llevólos pues cautivos Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y se fué para pasarse á los hijos de Ammón.
10 Then Ishmael carried away captive all of the people who were left in Mizpah, even the king’s daughters, and all the people who remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the children of Ammon.
11 Και ότε ήκουσεν Ιωανάν ο υιός του Καρηά και πάντες οι αρχηγοί των στρατευμάτων οι μετ' αυτού πάντα τα κακά, τα οποία έκαμεν Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου,
11 Y oyó Johanán hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban con él, todo el mal que había hecho Ismael, hijo de Nethanías.
11 But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,
12 έλαβον πάντας τους άνδρας και υπήγαν να πολεμήσωσι με τον Ισμαήλ τον υιόν του Νεθανίου· και εύρηκαν αυτόν πλησίον των πολλών υδάτων των εν Γαβαών.
12 Entonces tomaron todos los hombres, y fueron á pelear con Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y halláronlo junto á Aguas-muchas, que es en Gabaón.
12 then they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are in Gibeon.
13 Και ως είδε πας ο λαός ο μετά του Ισμαήλ Ιωανάν τον υιόν του Καρηά και πάντας τους αρχηγούς των στρατευμάτων των μετ' αυτού, εχάρησαν.
13 Y aconteció que como todo el pueblo que estaba con Ismael vió á Johanán hijo de Carea, y á todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban con él, se alegraron.
13 Now when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, then they were glad.
14 Και εστράφησαν πας ο λαός, τον οποίον ο Ισμαήλ ηχμαλώτισεν από Μισπά, και επέστρεψαν και υπήγαν μετά του Ιωανάν υιού του Καρηά.
14 Y todo el pueblo que Ismael había traído cautivo de Mizpa, tornáronse, y volvieron, y fuéronse á Johanán hijo de Carea.
14 So all the people who Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah turned about and came back, and went to Johanan the son of Kareah.
15 Αλλ' ο Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου εξέφυγεν από του Ιωανάν μετά οκτώ ανδρών και υπήγε προς τους υιούς Αμμών.
15 Mas Ismael hijo de Nethanías se escapó delante de Johanán con ocho hombres, y se fué á los hijos de Ammón.
15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went to the children of Ammon.
16 Και έλαβεν ο Ιωανάν ο υιός του Καρηά και πάντες οι αρχηγοί των στρατευμάτων οι μετ' αυτού, άπαν το υπόλοιπον του λαού, το οποίον ηλευθέρωσεν από του Ισμαήλ υιού του Νεθανίου, από Μισπά, αφού επάταξε Γεδαλίαν τον υιόν του Αχικάμ, τους δυνατούς άνδρας του πολέμου και τας γυναίκας και τα παιδία και τους ευνούχους, τους οποίους ηχμαλώτισεν από Γαβαών,
16 Y Johanán hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que con él estaban, tomaron todo el resto del pueblo que habían recobrado de Ismael hijo de Nethanías, de Mizpa, después que hirió á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam: hombres de guerra, y mujeres, y niños, y los eunucos que Johanán había hecho tornar de Gabaón;
16 Then Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces who were with him took all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after he had killed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam—the men of war, with the women, the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought back from Gibeon.
17 και υπήγαν και κατώκησαν εν τη κατοικία του Χιμάμ, τη πλησίον της Βηθλεέμ, διά να υπάγωσι να εισέλθωσιν εις την Αίγυπτον,
17 Y fueron y habitaron en Geruth-chimham, que es cerca de Bethlehem, á fin de partir y meterse en Egipto,
17 They departed and lived in Geruth Chimham, which is by Bethlehem, to go to enter into Egypt
18 εξ αιτίας των Χαλδαίων· διότι εφοβήθησαν από αυτούς, επειδή ο Ισμαήλ ο υιός του Νεθανίου επάταξε τον Γεδαλίαν τον υιόν του Αχικάμ, τον οποίον ο βασιλεύς της Βαβυλώνος κατέστησεν επί την γην.
18 Por causa de los Caldeos: porque temían de ellos, por haber herido Ismael hijo de Nethanías á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, al cual el rey de Babilonia había puesto sobre la tierra.
18 because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had killed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor over the land.
