1 A revelation about Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
2 Ζηλότυπος είναι ο Θεός και εκδικείται ο Κύριος· ο Κύριος εκδικείται και οργίζεται· ο Κύριος θέλει εκδικηθή τους εναντίους αυτού και φυλάττει οργήν κατά των εχθρών αυτού.
2 Dios celoso y vengador es Jehová; vengador es Jehová, y Señor de ira; Jehová, que se venga de sus adversarios, y que guarda [enojo] para sus enemigos.
2 Yahweh is a jealous God and avenges. Yahweh avenges and is full of wrath. Yahweh takes vengeance on his adversaries, and he maintains wrath against his enemies.
3 Ο Κύριος είναι μακρόθυμος και μέγας την ισχύν, και ουδόλως θέλει αθωώσει τον ασεβή· η οδός του Κυρίου είναι μετά ανεμοστροβίλου και θυέλλης, και νεφέλαι ο κονιορτός των ποδών αυτού.
3 Jehová es tardo para la ira, y grande en poder, y no tendrá [al culpado] por inocente. Jehová marcha entre la tempestad y turbión, y las nubes son el polvo de sus pies.
3 Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
4 Επιτιμά την θάλασσαν και ξηραίνει αυτήν και καταξηραίνει πάντας τους ποταμούς· μαραίνεται η Βασάν και ο Κάρμηλος και το άνθος του Λιβάνου μαραίνεται.
4 El amenaza á la mar, y la hace secar, y agosta todos los ríos: Basán fué destruído, y el Carmelo, y la flor del Líbano fué destruída.
4 He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel languish. The flower of Lebanon languishes.
5 Τα όρη σείονται απ' αυτού και οι λόφοι διαλύονται, η δε γη τρέμει από της παρουσίας αυτού, ναι, η οικουμένη, και πάντες οι κατοικούντες εν αυτή.
5 Los montes tiemblan de él, y los collados se deslíen; y la tierra se abrasa á su presencia, y el mundo, y todos los que en él habitan.
5 The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, yes, the world, and all who dwell in it.
6 Τις δύναται να ανθέξη ενώπιον της αγανακτήσεως αυτού; και τις δύναται να σταθή εις την έξαψιν της οργής αυτού; ο θυμός αυτού εκχέεται ως πυρ και οι βράχοι συντρίβονται έμπροσθεν αυτού.
6 ¿Quién permanecerá delante de su ira? ¿y quién quedará en pié en el furor de su enojo? Su ira se derrama como fuego, y por él se hienden las peñas.
6 Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by him.
7 Ο Κύριος είναι αγαθός, οχύρωμα εν ημέρα θλίψεως, και γνωρίζει τους ελπίζοντας επ' αυτόν.
7 Bueno es Jehová para fortaleza en el día de la angustia; y conoce á los que en él confían.
7 Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
8 Πλην με πλημμύραν κατακλύζουσαν θέλει κάμει συντέλειαν του τόπου αυτής, και σκότος θέλει καταδιώξει τους εχθρούς αυτού.
8 Mas con inundación impetuosa hará consumación de su lugar, y tinieblas perseguirán á sus enemigos.
8 But with an overflowing flood, he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
9 Τι βουλεύεσθε κατά του Κυρίου; αυτός θέλει κάμει συντέλειαν· θλίψις δεν θέλει επέλθει εκ δευτέρου.
9 ¿Qué pensáis contra Jehová? El hará consumación: la tribulación no se levantará dos veces.
9 What do you plot against Yahweh? He will make a full end. Affliction won’t rise up the second time.
10 Διότι ενώ συμπεριπλέκονται ως άκανθαι και μεθύουσιν ως μεθυσταί, θέλουσι καταναλωθή ως κατάξηρον άχυρον.
10 Porque como espinas entretegidas, mientras se embriagarán los borrachos, serán consumidos como las estopas llenas de sequedad.
10 For entangled like thorns, and drunken as with their drink, they are consumed utterly like dry stubble.
11 Από σου εξήλθε διαλογιζόμενος πονηρά κατά του Κυρίου, σύμβουλος πονηρός.
11 De ti salió el que pensó mal contra Jehová, un consultor impío.
11 One has gone out of you who devises evil against Yahweh, who counsels wickedness.
12 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος· Αν και ήναι εν τη ακμή αυτών και έτι πολλοί, θέλουσιν όμως κουρευθή, όταν αυτός διαβή· αν και σε κατέθλιψα, δεν θέλω σε καταθλίψει πλέον.
12 Así ha dicho Jehová: Aunque reposo tengan, y sean tantos, así serán talados, y él pasará. Bien que te he afligido, no más te afligiré.
12 Yahweh says: “Though they are in full strength and likewise many, even so they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.
13 Διότι τώρα θέλω συντρίψει τον ζυγόν αυτού από σου και θέλω διαρρήξει τους δεσμούς σου.
13 Porque ahora quebraré su yugo de sobre ti, y romperé tus coyundas.
13 Now I will break his yoke from off you, and will burst your bonds apart.”
14 Και ο Κύριος έδωκε προσταγήν περί σου, ότι δεν θέλει σπαρθή πλέον εκ του ονόματός σου· από του οίκου των θεών σου θέλω εκκόψει τα γλυπτά και τα χωνευτά· θέλω κάμει αυτόν τάφον σου, διότι είσαι βδελυκτός.
14 Mas acerca de ti mandará Jehová, que nunca más sea sembrado alguno de tu nombre: de la casa de tu dios talaré escultura y estatua de fundición, haréla tu sepulcro; porque fuiste vil.
14 Yahweh has commanded concerning you: “No more descendants will bear your name. Out of the house of your gods, I will cut off the engraved image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”
15 Ιδού, επί των ορέων οι πόδες του ευαγγελιζομένου, του κηρύττοντος ειρήνην. Εόρταζε, Ιούδα, τας επισήμους εορτάς σου, απόδος τας ευχάς σου, διότι ο εξολοθρευτής δεν θέλει διαβή πλέον διά σού· ολοτελώς απεκόπη.
15 He aquí sobre los montes los pies del que trae buenas nuevas, del que pregona la paz. Celebra, oh Judá, tus fiestas, cumple tus votos: porque nunca más pasará por ti el malvado; pereció del todo.
15 Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace! Keep your feasts, Judah! Perform your vows, for the wicked one will no more pass through you. He is utterly cut off.
