2 I na Njemu će počivati Duh Gospodnji, duh mudrosti i razuma, duh saveta i sile, duh znanja i straha Gospodnjeg.
3 Y harále entender diligente en el temor de Jehová. No juzgará según la vista de sus ojos, ni argüirá por lo que oyeren sus oídos;
4 Nego će po pravdi suditi siromasima i po pravici karati krotke u zemlji, i udariće zemlju prutom usta svojih, i duhom usana svojih ubiće bezbožnika.
6 I vuk će boraviti s jagnjetom, i ris će ležati s jaretom, tele i lavić i ugojeno živinče biće zajedno, i malo dete vodiće ih.
7 I krava i medvedica zajedno će pasti, mlad njihova ležaće zajedno, i lav će jesti slamu kao vo.
12 I podignuće zastavu narodima i prognane Izrailjeve i rasejane Judine sabraće s četiri kraja zemlje,
13 I nestaće zavisti Jefremove, i neprijatelji Judini istrebiće se; Jefrem neće zavideti Judi, a Juda neće zlobiti Jefremu.
13 Y se disipará la envidia de Ephraim, y los enemigos de Judá serán talados. Ephraim no tendrá envidia contra Judá, ni Judá afligirá á Ephraim;
14 Nego će složno leteti na pleća Filistejima k zapadu; zajedno će pleniti narode istočne; na Edomce i Moavce dignuće ruke svoje, i sinovi Amonovi biće im pokorni.

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
