1 A psalm of David. Let every part of me praise the Lord; let my whole being praise his holy character.
1 Salmo de David. BENDICE, alma mía, á Jehová; y [bendigan] todas mis entrañas su santo nombre.
2 Let every part of me praise the Lord; don't let me forget the wonderful things he's done for me.
3 He forgives my sins, and he heals all my diseases.
3 El es quien perdona todas tus iniquidades, el que sana todas tus dolencias;
4 He saves me from death; he honors me with trustworthy love and mercy.
4 El que rescata del hoyo tu vida, el que te corona de favores y misericordias;
5 He fills my life with all that's good; he makes me young again, strong as an eagle.
6 The Lord does what is right, and vindicates those who are exploited.
7 He explained his ways to Moses: he told the people of Israel what he was going to do.
8 The Lord is kind and gracious, not quick-tempered, and full of trustworthy love.
9 He doesn't keep on accusing us; he doesn't stay angry with us forever.
10 He does not punish us for our sins as he ought to; he does not pay us back for our wrongdoing as we deserve.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth is the extent of his trustworthy love to those who honor him.
12 As far as the east is from the west is how far the Lord has taken our sins away from us.
13 Like a loving father, the Lord is kind and compassionate to those who follow him.
14 For he knows how we are made; he remembers we are only dust.
15 Human lifetimes are like grass: we blossom like flowers in a field,
16 but then the wind blows and we are gone, disappearing without a trace.
17 But the Lord's trustworthy love lasts for all eternity to those who accept him; his goodness to all generations,
17 Mas la misericordia de Jehová desde el siglo y hasta el siglo sobre los que le temen, y su justicia sobre los hijos de los hijos;
18 to those who keep his agreement and who remember to follow his commandments.
19 The Lord has set up his throne in the heavens, and he rules over all.
20 Praise the Lord, you angels, you powerful ones who do what he says, listening to what he tells you!
21 Praise the Lord, you heavenly armies who serve him and carry out his will!
22 Praise the Lord, everything in his creation, everyone under his rule, and let every part of me praise the Lord!

  1. Comentario Augustine of Hippo, Expositions on the Psalms (Psalm CII)

    Behold, one poor man prayeth, and prayeth not in silence. We may therefore hear him, and see who he is: whether it be not perchance He, of whom the Apostle saith, "Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich." If it is He, then, how is He poor?

  2. Cita 103:3 Augustine of Hippo, Confessions (Book IV, Chapters VIII–XII)

    Commit to truth whatsoever thou hast from the truth, and nothing shall thou lose; and thy decay shall flourish again, and all thy diseases be healed, and thy perishable parts shall be reformed and renovated, and drawn together to thee; nor shall they put thee down where themselves descend, but they shall abide with thee, and continue for ever before …

  3. Cita 103:20 John Chrysostom, Homilies on the Gospel of Matthew (Homily XIX)

    What He saith therefore is this: "As there all things are done without hindrance, and the angels are not partly obedient and partly disobedient, but in all things yield and obey (for He saith, Mighty in strength, performing His word'); so vouchsafe that we men may not do Thy will by halves, but perform all things as Thou willest." 4. Cita 103:20 Cyril of Jerusalem, Catechetical Lectures (Lecture XXIII)

    God's divine and blessed Angels do the will of God, as David said in the Psalm, Bless the Lord, all ye Angels of His, mighty in strength, that do His pleasure.

  5. Cita 103:4 Basil of Caesarea, On the Holy Spirit (Chapters XI–XIII)

    For the tradition that has been given us by the quickening grace must remain for ever inviolate. He who redeemed our life from destruction gave us power of renewal, whereof the cause is ineffable and hidden in mystery, but bringing great salvation to our souls, so that to add or to take away anything involves manifestly a falling away from …
