1 A kad dođe na tebe sve ovo, blagoslov i kletva koju iznesoh preda te, ako ih se opomeneš u srcu svom, gde bi god bio među narodima, u koje te zagna Gospod Bog tvoj,
1 Y SERÁ que, cuando te sobrevinieren todas estas cosas, la bendición y la maldición que he puesto delante de ti, y volvieres á tu corazón en medio de todas las gentes á las cuales Jehová tu Dios te hubiere echado,
1 It shall happen, when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations where Yahweh your God has driven you,
2 i obratiš se ka Gospodu Bogu svom i poslušaš glas Njegov u svemu što ti ja zapovedam danas, ti i sinovi tvoji, iz svega srca svog i iz sve duše svoje,
2 Y te convirtieres á Jehová tu Dios, y obedecieres á su voz conforme á todo lo que yo te mando hoy, tú y tus hijos, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,
2 and return to Yahweh your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,
3 tada će Gospod Bog tvoj povratiti roblje tvoje i smilovaće se na tebe, i opet će te sabrati između svih naroda, po kojima te bude rasejao Gospod Bog tvoj.
3 Jehová también volverá tus cautivos, y tendrá misericordia de ti, y tornará á recogerte de todos los pueblos á los cuales te hubiere esparcido Jehová tu Dios.
3 that then Yahweh your God will release you from captivity, have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples where Yahweh your God has scattered you.
4 Ako bi ko tvoj i na kraj sveta zagnan bio, otuda će te opet sabrati Gospod Bog tvoj i otuda te uzeti.
4 Si hubieres sido arrojado hasta el cabo de los cielos, de allí te recogerá Jehová tu Dios, y de allá te tomará:
4 If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the heavens, from there Yahweh your God will gather you, and from there he will bring you back.
5 I odvešće te opet Gospod Bog tvoj u zemlju koju behu nasledili oci tvoji, i nasledićeš je, i učiniće ti dobro i umnožiće te većma nego oce tvoje.
5 Y volverte ha Jehová tu Dios á la tierra que heredaron tus padres, y la poseerás; y te hará bien, y te multiplicará más que á tus padres.
5 Yahweh your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it. He will do you good, and increase your numbers more than your fathers.
6 I obrezaće Gospod Bog tvoj srce tvoje i srce semena tvog, da bi ljubio Gospoda Boga svog iz svega srca svog i iz sve duše svoje, da budeš živ.
6 Y circuncidará Jehová tu Dios tu corazón, y el corazón de tu simiente, para que ames á Jehová tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma, á fin de que tú vivas.
6 Yahweh your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your offspring, to love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
7 A sve kletve ove obratiće Gospod Bog tvoj na neprijatelje tvoje i na nenavidnike tvoje, koji su te gonili.
7 Y pondrá Jehová tu Dios todas estas maldiciones sobre tus enemigos, y sobre tus aborrecedores que te persiguieron.
7 Yahweh your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
8 A ti kad se obratiš i staneš slušati glas Gospoda Boga svog i tvoriti sve zapovesti Njegove, koje ti ja danas zapovedam,
8 Y tú volverás, y oirás la voz de Jehová, y pondrás por obra todos sus mandamientos, que yo te intimo hoy.
8 You shall return and obey Yahweh’s voice, and do all his commandments which I command you today.
9 daće ti Gospod Bog tvoj sreću u svakom delu ruku tvojih, u plodu utrobe tvoje, u plodu stoke tvoje, u plodu zemlje tvoje; jer će ti se Gospod Bog tvoj opet radovati čineći ti dobro, kao što se radovao ocima tvojim,
9 Y hacerte ha Jehová tu Dios abundar en toda obra de tus manos, en el fruto de tu vientre, en el fruto de tu bestia, y en el fruto de tu tierra, para bien: porque Jehová volverá á gozarse sobre ti para bien, de la manera que se gozó sobre tus padres;
9 Yahweh your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for Yahweh will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers,
10 ako uzaslušaš glas Gospoda Boga svog držeći sve zapovesti Njegove i uredbe Njegove, napisane u knjizi ovog zakona; kad se obratiš ka Gospodu Bogu svom svim srcem svojim i svom dušom svojom.
10 Cuando oyeres la voz de Jehová tu Dios, para guardar sus mandamientos y sus estatutos escritos en este libro de la ley; cuando te convirtieres á Jehová tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.
10 if you will obey Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 Jer zapovest koju ti ja zapovedam danas niti je visoko ni daleko od tebe.
11 Porque este mandamiento que yo te intimo hoy, no te es encubierto, ni está lejos:
11 For this commandment which I command you today is not too hard for you or too distant.
12 Nije na nebu, da kažeš: Ko će nam se popeti na nebo da nam je skine i kaže nam je da bismo je tvorili?
12 No está en el cielo, para que digas: ¿Quién subirá por nosotros al cielo, y nos lo traerá y nos lo representará, para que lo cumplamos?
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will go up for us to heaven, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”
13 Niti je preko mora, da kažeš ko će nam otići preko mora, da nam je donese i kaže nam je, da bismo je tvorili?
13 Ni está de la otra parte de la mar, para que digas: ¿Quién pasará por nosotros la mar, para que nos lo traiga y nos lo represente, á fin de que lo cumplamos?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”
14 Nego ti je vrlo blizu ova reč, u ustima tvojim i u srcu tvom, da bi je tvorio.
14 Porque muy cerca de ti está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón, para que la cumplas.
14 But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
15 Gle, iznesoh danas preda te život i smrt, dobro i zlo.
15 Mira, yo he puesto delante de ti hoy la vida y el bien, la muerte y el mal:
15 Behold, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and evil.
16 Jer ti zapovedam danas da ljubiš Gospoda Boga svog hodeći putevima Njegovim i držeći zapovesti Njegove i uredbe Njegove i zakone Njegove, da bi živ bio i umnožio se, i da bi te blagoslovio Gospod Bog tvoj u zemlji u koju ideš da je naslediš.
16 Porque yo te mando hoy que ames á Jehová tu Dios, que andes en sus caminos, y guardes sus mandamientos y sus estatutos y sus derechos, para que vivas y seas multiplicado, y Jehová tu Dios te bendiga en la tierra á la cual entras para poseerla.
16 For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
17 Ako li se odvrati srce tvoje i ne uzaslušaš, nego zastraniš da se klanjaš drugim bogovima i njima služiš,
17 Mas si tu corazón se apartare, y no oyeres, y fueres incitado, y te inclinares á dioses ajenos, y los sirvieres;
17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away and worship other gods, and serve them,
18 javljam vam danas da ćete zaista propasti, niti ćete produžiti dana svojih na zemlji, u koju ideš preko Jordana da je naslediš.
18 Protéstoos hoy que de cierto pereceréis: no tendréis largos días sobre la tierra, para ir á la cual pasas el Jordán para poseerla.
18 I declare to you today that you will surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you pass over the Jordan to go in to possess it.
19 Svedočim vam danas nebom i zemljom, da sam stavio pred vas život i smrt, blagoslov i prokletstvo; zato izaberi život da budeš živ ti i seme tvoje,
19 A los cielos y la tierra llamo por testigos hoy contra vosotros, que os he puesto delante la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición: escoge pues la vida, porque vivas tú y tu simiente:
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants,
20 ljubeći Gospoda Boga svog, slušajući glas Njegov i držeći se Njega; jer je On život tvoj i dužina dana tvojih; da bi nastavao na zemlji, za koju se zakleo Gospod ocima tvojim, Avramu, Isaku i Jakovu, da će im je dati.
20 Que ames á Jehová tu Dios, que oigas su voz, y te allegues á él; porque él es tu vida, y la longitud de tus días; á fin de que habites sobre la tierra que juró Jehová á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, que les había de dar.
20 to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Cómo se eligieron
«Comentario» es el comienzo de una homilía o exposición sobre este capítulo (homilías de san Juan Crisóstomo; tratados, sermones y comentarios a los Salmos de san Agustín). «Cita» es una frase en la que las notas de la propia edición identifican la cita de un versículo de este capítulo; solo se conserva si el texto coincide con el versículo. Solo se usan obras de autoría segura. Los Salmos siguen la numeración hebrea (Agustín usa la de los Setenta: su Salmo 50 es aquí el 51).
