6 A ostali uhvatiše sluge njegove, izružiše ih, i pobiše ih. 7 A kad to ču car onaj, razgnevi se i poslavši vojsku svoju pogubi krvnike one, i grad njihov zapali. 12 I reče mu: Prijatelju! Kako si došao amo bez svadbenog ruha? A on oćute. A oni donesoše Mu novac. 21 I rekoše Mu: Ćesarev. Tada reče im: Podajte dakle ćesarevo ćesaru, i Božje Bogu. 27 A posle svih umre i žena. 35 I upita jedan od njih zakonik kušajući Ga i govoreći: 36 Učitelju! Koja je zapovest najveća u zakonu? 37 A Isus reče mu: Ljubi Gospoda Boga svog svim srcem svojim, i svom dušom svojom, i svom misli svojom.

  1. Comentario 22:2 Augustine of Hippo, Sermons on Selected Lessons of the New Testament (Sermon XL)

All the faithful know the marriage of the king's son, and his feast, and the spreading of the Lord's Table is open to them all who will. But it is of importance to each one to see how he approaches, even when he is not forbidden to approach It.

  2. Comentario 22:1 John Chrysostom, Homilies on the Gospel of Matthew (Homily LXIX)

Seest thou both in the former parable and in this the difference between the Son and the servants? Seest thou at once the great affinity between both parables, and the great difference also? For this also indicates God's long-suffering, and His great providential care, and the Jews' ingratitude. But this parable hath something also more than the other.

  3. Cita 22:17 Justin Martyr, First Apology (Chapters XVII–XXI)

… if one ought to pay tribute to Cæsar; and He answered, "Tell Me, whose image does the coin bear?" And they said, "Cæsar's." And again He answered them, "Render therefore to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar's, and to God the things that are God's." Whence to God alone we render worship, but in other things we gladly serve you, …

  4. Cita 22:29 Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies (Book IV, Preface)

To those, therefore, who are ignorant of these matters, and on this account imagine that they have discovered another Father, justly does one say, "Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God."

  5. Cita 22:37–39 Augustine of Hippo, Confessions (Book III, Chapters VIII–XI)

Can it at any time or place be an unrighteous thing for a man to love God with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his mind, and his neighbour as himself? Therefore those offences which be contrary to nature are everywhere and at all times to be held in detestation and punished; such were those of …
