1 Ὡς δὲ ἤκουσεν Ἰαβὶς βασιλεὺς Ἀσὼρ, ἀπέστειλε πρὸς Ἰωβὰβ βασιλέα Μαρῶν, καὶ πρὸς βασιλέα Συμοὼν, καὶ πρὸς βασιλέα Ἀζὶφ,

1 OYENDO esto Jabín rey de Hasor, envió [mensaje] á Jobab rey de Madón, y al rey de Simrom, y al rey de Achsaph,

1 When Jabin king of Hazor heard of it, he sent to Jobab king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, to the king of Achshaph,

2 καὶ πρὸς βασιλεῖς τοὺς κατὰ Σιδῶνα τὴν μεγάλην, εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν καὶ εἰς Ἄραβα ἀπέναντι Κενερὼθ, καὶ εἰς τὸ πεδίον, καὶ εἰς Φεναεδδὼρ,

2 Y á los reyes que estaban á la parte del norte en las montañas, y en el llano al mediodía de Cinneroth, y en los llanos, y en las regiones de Dor al occidente;

2 and to the kings who were on the north, in the hill country, in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,

3 καὶ εἰς τοὺς παραλίους Χαναναίους ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν, καὶ εἰς τοὺς παραλίους Ἀμοῤῥαίους, καὶ τοὺς Χετταίους, καὶ Φερεζαίους, καὶ Ἰεβουσαίους τοὺς ἐν τῷ ὄρει, καὶ τοὺς Εὐαίους, καὶ τοὺς ὑπὸ τὴν Ἀερμὼν εἰς γῆν Μασσύμα.

3 Y al Cananeo que estaba al oriente y al occidente, y al Amorrheo, y al Hetheo, y al Pherezeo, y al Jebuseo en las montañas, y al Heveo debajo de Hermón en tierra de Mizpa.

3 to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

4 Καὶ ἐξῆλθον αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν μετʼ αὐτῶν, ὥσπερ ἡ ἄμμος τῆς θαλάσσης τῷ πλήθει, καὶ ἵπποι καὶ ἅρματα πολλὰ σφόδρα.

4 Estos salieron, y con ellos todos sus ejércitos, pueblo mucho en gran manera, como la arena que está á la orilla del mar, con gran muchedumbre de caballos y carros.

4 They went out, they and all their armies with them, many people, even as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots.

5 Καὶ συνῆλθον πάντες οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτοὶ καὶ παρεγένοντο ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ, καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐπὶ τοῦ ὕδατος Μαρὼν πολεμῆσαι τὸν Ἰσραήλ.

5 Todos estos reyes se juntaron, y viniendo reunieron los campos junto á las aguas de Merom, para pelear contra Israel.

5 All these kings met together; and they came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.

6 Καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Ἰησοῦν, μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν, ὅτι αὔριον ταύτην τὴν ὥραν ἐγὼ παραδίδωμι τετροπωμένους αὐτοὺς ἐναντίον τοῦ Ἰσραήλ· τοὺς ἵππους αὐτῶν νευροκοπήσεις, καὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτῶν κατακαύσεις ἐν πυρί.

6 Mas Jehová dijo á Josué: No tengas temor de ellos, que mañana á esta hora yo entregaré á todos éstos, muertos delante de Israel: á sus caballos desjarretarás, y sus carros quemarás al fuego.

6 Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

7 Καὶ ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὁ πολεμιστὴς ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὸ ὕδωρ Μαρὼν ἐξάπινα· καὶ ἐπέπεσαν ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ὀρεινῇ.

7 Y vino Josué, y con él todo el pueblo de guerra, contra ellos, y dió de repente sobre ellos junto á las aguas de Merom.

7 So Joshua came suddenly, with all the warriors, against them by the waters of Merom, and attacked them.

8 Καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς Κύριος ὑποχειρίους Ἰσραήλ· καὶ κόπτοντες αὐτοὺς κατεδίωκον ἕως Σιδῶνος τῆς μεγάλης, καὶ ἕως Μασερὼν, καὶ ἕως τῶν πεδίων Μασσὼχ κατʼ ἀνατολάς· καὶ κατέκοψαν αὐτοὺς ἕως τοῦ μὴ καταλειφθῆναι αὐτῶν διασεσωσμένον.

8 Y entrególos Jehová en manos de Israel, los cuales los hirieron y siguieron hasta Sidón la grande, y hasta las aguas calientes, y hasta el llano de Mizpa al oriente, hiriéndolos hasta que no les dejaron ninguno.

8 Yahweh delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth Maim, and to the valley of Mizpah eastward. They struck them until they left them no one remaining.

9 Καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς, ὃν τρόπον ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ Κύριος· τοὺς ἵππους αὐτῶν ἐνευροκόπησε, καὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτῶν ἐνέπρησε πυρί.

9 Y Josué hizo con ellos como Jehová le había mandado: desjarretó sus caballos, y sus carros quemó al fuego.

9 Joshua did to them as Yahweh told him. He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

10 Καὶ ἐπεστράφη Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ, καὶ κατελάβετο Ἀσὼρ, καὶ τὸν βασιλέα αὐτῆς· ἦν δὲ Ἀσὼρ τοπρότερον ἄρχουσα πασῶν τῶν βασιλειῶν τούτων.

10 Y tornándose Josué, tomó en el mismo tiempo á Hasor, é hirió á cuchillo á su rey: la cual Hasor había sido antes cabeza de todos estos reinos.

10 Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor used to be the head of all those kingdoms.

11 Καὶ ἀπέκτειναν πᾶν ἐμπνέον ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν ξίφει, καὶ ἐξωλόθρευσαν πάντας, καὶ οὐ κατελείφθη ἐν αὐτῇ ἐμπνέον· καὶ τὴν Ἀσὼρ ἐνέπρησαν ἐν πυρί.

11 E hirieron á cuchillo todo cuanto en ella había vivo, destruyendo y no dejando cosa con vida; y á Asor pusieron á fuego.

11 They struck all the souls who were in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them. There was no one left who breathed. He burned Hazor with fire.

12 Καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις τῶν βασιλειῶν, καὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν ἔλαβεν Ἰησοῦς, καὶ ἀνεῖλεν αὐτοὺς ἐν στόματι ξίφους· καὶ ἐξωλόθρευσαν αὐτοὺς, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξε Μωυσῆς ὁ παῖς Κυρίου.

12 Asimismo tomó Josué todas las ciudades de aquestos reyes, y á todos los reyes de ellas, y los metió á cuchillo, y los destruyó, como Moisés siervo de Jehová lo había mandado.

12 Joshua captured all the cities of those kings, with their kings, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded.

13 Ἀλλὰ πάσας τὰς πόλεις τὰς κεχωματισμένας οὐκ ἐνέπρησεν Ἰσραήλ· πλὴν Ἀσὼρ μόνην ἐνέπρησεν Ἰσραὴλ,

13 Empero todas las ciudades que estaban en sus cabezos, no las quemó Israel, sacando á sola Asor, la cual quemó Josué.

13 But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only. Joshua burned that.

14 καὶ πάντα τὰ σκῦλα αὐτῆς ἐπρονόμευσαν ἑαυτοῖς οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ· αὐτοὺς δὲ πάντας ἐξωλόθρευσαν ἐν στόματι ξίφους, ἕως ἀπώλεσεν αὐτοὺς· οὐ κατέλιπον ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐδὲν ἐμπνέον.

14 Y los hijos de Israel tomaron para sí todos los despojos y bestias de aquestas ciudades: pero á todos los hombres metieron á cuchillo hasta destruirlos, sin dejar alguno con vida.

14 The children of Israel took all the plunder of these cities, with the livestock, as plunder for themselves; but every man they struck with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They didn’t leave any who breathed.

15 Ὃν τρόπον συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ τῷ παιδὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ Μωυσῆς ὡσαύτως ἐνετείλατο τῷ Ἰησοῖ· καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησεν Ἰησοῦς, οὐ παρέβη οὐδὲν ἀπὸ πάντων ὧν συνέταξεν αὐτῷ Μωυσῆς.

15 De la manera que Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés su siervo, así Moisés lo mandó á Josué: y así Josué lo hizo, sin quitar palabra de todo lo que Jehová había mandado á Moisés.

15 As Yahweh commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua. Joshua did so. He left nothing undone of all that Yahweh commanded Moses.

16 Καὶ ἔλαβεν Ἰησοῦς πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν τὴν ὀρεινὴν, καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Ναγὲβ, καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Γοσὸμ, καὶ τὴν πεδινὴν, καὶ τὴν πρὸς δυσμαῖς, καὶ τὸ ὄρος Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ τὰ ταπεινὰ

16 Tomó pues Josué toda aquella tierra, las montañas, y toda la [región] del mediodía, y toda la tierra de Gosén, y los bajos y los llanos, y la montaña de Israel y sus valles.

16 So Joshua captured all that land, the hill country, all the South, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel, and the lowland of the same,

17 τὰ πρὸς τῷ ὄρει ἀπὸ ὄρους Χελχὰ, καὶ ὃ προσαναβαίνει εἰς Σηεὶρ, καὶ ἕως Βαλαγὰδ, καὶ τὰ πεδία τοῦ Λιβάνου ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Ἀερμών· καὶ πάντας τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν ἔλαβε, καὶ ἀνεῖλε, καὶ ἀπέκτεινε.

17 Desde el monte de Halac, que sube hasta Seir, hasta Baal-gad en la llanura del Líbano, á las raíces del monte Hermón: tomó asimismo todos sus reyes, los cuales hirió y mató.

17 from Mount Halak, that goes up to Seir, even to Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon under Mount Hermon. He took all their kings, struck them, and put them to death.

18 Καὶ ἡμέρας πλείους ἐποίησεν Ἰησοῦς πρὸς τοὺς βασιλεῖς τούτους τὸν πόλεμον.

18 Por muchos días tuvo guerra Josué con estos reyes.

18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.

19 Καὶ οὐκ ἦν πόλις, ἣν οὐκ ἔλαβεν Ἰσραήλ· πάντα ἐλάβοσαν ἐν πολέμῳ.

19 No hubo ciudad que hiciese paz con los hijos de Israel, sacados los Heveos, que moraban en Gabaón: todo lo tomaron por guerra.

19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. They took all in battle.

20 Ὅτι διὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο κατισχύσαι αὐτῶν τὴν καρδίαν συναντᾷν εἰς πόλεμον πρὸς Ἰσραὴλ, ἵνα ἐξολοθρευθῶσιν, ὅπως μὴ δοθῇ αὐτοῖς ἔλεος, ἀλλʼ ἵνα ἐξολοθρευθῶσιν, ὃν τρόπον εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν.

20 Porque esto vino de Jehová, que endurecía el corazón de ellos para que resistiesen con guerra á Israel, para destruirlos, y que no les fuese hecha misericordia, antes fuesen desarraigados, como Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés.

20 For it was of Yahweh to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

21 Καὶ ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ, καὶ ἐξωλόθρευσε τοὺς Ἐνακὶμ ἐκ τῆς ὀρεινῆς, ἐκ Χεβρὼν, καὶ ἐκ Δαβὶρ, καὶ ἐξ Ἀναβὼθ, καὶ ἐκ παντὸς Ἰούδα σὺν ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐξωλόθρευσεν αὐτοὺς Ἰησοῦς.

21 También en el mismo tiempo vino Josué y destruyó los Anaceos de los montes, de Hebrón, de Debir, y de Anab, y de todos los montes de Judá, y de todos los montes de Israel: Josué los destruyó á ellos y á sus ciudades.

21 Joshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill country of Judah, and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.

22 Οὐ κατελείφθη τῶν Ἐνακὶμ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ, ἀλλὰ πλὴν ἐν Γάζῃ, καὶ ἐν Γὲθ, καὶ ἐν Ἀσελδὼ κατελείφθη.

22 Ninguno de los Anaceos quedó en la tierra de los hijos de Israel; solamente quedaron en Gaza, en Gath, y en Asdod.

22 There were none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel. Only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain.

23 Καὶ ἔλαβεν Ἰησοῦς πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν, καθότι ἐνετείλατο Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ· καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοὺς Ἰησοῦς ἐν κληρονομίᾳ Ἰσραὴλ ἐν μερισμῷ κατὰ φυλὰς αὐτῶν· καὶ ἡ γῆ κατέπαυσε πολεμουμένη.

23 Tomó, pues, Josué toda la tierra, conforme á todo lo que Jehová había dicho á Moisés; y entrególa Josué á los Israelitas por herencia, conforme á sus repartimientos de sus tribus: y la tierra reposó de guerra.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that Yahweh spoke to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.
