FBV Free Bible Version (Versión Biblia Libre en inglés) WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 As Jesus was leaving the Temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look at these massive stones and magnificent buildings!” 1 Y SALIENDO del templo, le dice uno de sus discípulos: Maestro, mira qué piedras, y qué edificios.
1 As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”
2 “You see all these great buildings?” Jesus replied. “Not one stone will be left on top of another. Everything will be torn down.” 2 Y Jesús respondiendo, le dijo: ¿Ves estos grandes edificios? no quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.
2 Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives overlooking the Temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him in private, 3 Y sentándose en el monte de las Olivas delante del templo, le preguntaron aparte Pedro y Jacobo y Juan y Andrés:
3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
4 “Tell us: When this will happen? What's the sign that all this is about to be fulfilled?” 4 Dinos, ¿cuándo serán estas cosas?
4 “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”
5 Jesus began telling them, “Make sure no one deceives you. 5 Y Jesús respondiéndoles, comenzó á decir: Mirad, que nadie os engañe;
5 Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.
6 Many will come in my name claiming, ‘I am the Christ.’ They will deceive many people.
6 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and will lead many astray.
7 Don't be troubled when you hear of wars nearby and wars far away. These things must happen but this is not the end.
7 “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.
8 Nation will fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines too. These are the beginnings of the world's birth pains.
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 Watch out for yourselves! They will hand you over to the courts to be tried. You will be beaten in synagogues. Because of me you will have to stand before governors and kings, and you will be witnesses to them.
9 “But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.
10 The good news must first be announced in every nation.
10 The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.
11 When they come to arrest you and put you on trial, don't worry about what to say. Just say what you're told at that time, because it's not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
11 When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
12 Brother will betray brother to death, and a father will betray his child. Children will turn against their parents and have them condemned to death.
12 “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
13 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but whoever endures until the end will be saved.
13 You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 But when you see the ‘idolatry that causes devastation’ standing where it shouldn't be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea should run to the mountains. 14 Empero cuando viereis la abominación de asolamiento, que fué dicha por el profeta Daniel, que estará donde no debe (el que lee, entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan á los montes;
14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,
15 Those who are on the roof—don't go back inside the house to get anything. 15 Y el que esté sobre el terrado, no descienda á la casa, ni entre para tomar algo de su casa;
15 and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.
16 Those who are out in the fields—don't go home to get a coat.
16 Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
17 How hard it will be for those who are pregnant or nursing at that time!
17 But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!
18 Pray that this won't happen during the winter.
18 Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.
19 For these will be days of trouble like never before since the beginning of God's creation until now, and they won't ever come again.
19 For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.
20 If God doesn't cut short these days, no one will survive. However, for the sake of those God has chosen, he has cut them short.
20 Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.
21 So if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘Look, there he is,’ don't believe it. 21 Y entonces si alguno os dijere: He aquí, aquí está el Cristo; ó, He aquí, allí [está], no [le] creáis.
21 Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.
22 For false Messiahs and false prophets will appear, and they will perform miraculous signs and wonders to deceive the chosen of God, if that were possible.
22 For false christs and false prophets will arise and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
23 Watch out! I've told you everything before it happens. 23 Mas vosotros mirad; os lo he dicho antes todo.
23 But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.
24 This is what will happen after those troubles: ‘The sun will become dark, the moon won't shine, 24 Empero en aquellos días, después de aquella aflicción, el sol se obscurecerá, y la luna no dará su resplandor;
24 But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,
25 the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.’ 25 Y las estrellas caerán del cielo, y las virtudes que están en los cielos serán conmovidas;
25 the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 Then they will see the Son of man as he comes on the clouds, possessing great power and glory.
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27 He will send out the angels, and gather together all his chosen ones from wherever they are, from the most distant part of the earth to the farthest point of heaven.
27 Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.
28 Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches grow soft and send out leaves, you know that summer is near.
28 “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;
29 In the same way, when you see these things happening, you know that it's near—right outside the door!
29 even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.
30 I tell you the truth, this generation won't come to an end until all these things have happened.
30 Most certainly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen.
31 Heaven and earth will come to an end, but my teachings will not.
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
32 No one knows the day or hour when this will happen—not even the angels in heaven, not even the Son; only the Father knows.
32 “But of that day or that hour no one knows—not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
33 Keep watch! Stay awake! For you don't know when this will happen.
33 Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.
34 It's like a man who went away on a journey. He left his house, and gave each of his servants the authority to do what he told them. He told the doorkeeper to stay awake.
34 “It is like a man traveling to another country, having left his house and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 So keep watch, because you don't know when the owner of the house is coming back. It may be in the evening, in the middle of the night, before dawn, or in the morning. 35 Velad pues, porque no sabéis cuándo el señor de la casa vendrá; [si] á la tarde, ó á la media noche, ó al canto del gallo, ó á la mañana;
35 Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming—whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;
36 You don't want to be caught sleeping if he returns unexpectedly.
36 lest, coming suddenly, he might find you sleeping.
37 What I'm telling you, I'm telling everyone: Watch!” 37 Y las cosas que á vosotros digo, á todos [las] digo: Velad.
37 What I tell you, I tell all: Watch!”
