2 koji svedoči reč Božiju i svedočanstvo Isusa Hrista, i šta god vide.
4 Juan á las siete iglesias que están en Asia: Gracia [sea] con vosotros, y paz del que es y que era y que ha de venir, y de los siete Espíritus que están delante de su trono;
5 I od Isusa Hrista, koji je Svedok verni, i Prvenac iz mrtvih, i Knez nad carevima zemaljskim, koji nas ljubi, i umi nas od greha naših krvlju svojom;
6 i učini nas careve i sveštenike Bogu i Ocu svom; tome slava i država va vek veka. Amin.
8 Ja sam Alfa i Omega, Početak i Svršetak, govori Gospod, Koji jeste, i koji beše, i koji će doći, Svedržitelj.
10 Bejah u duhu u dan nedeljni, i čuh za sobom glas veliki kao trube koji govoraše: Ja sam Alfa i Omega, Prvi i Poslednji;
12 Y me volví á ver la voz que hablaba conmigo: y vuelto, vi siete candeleros de oro;
14 A glava Njegova i kosa beše bela kao bela vuna, kao sneg; i oči Njegove kao plamen ognjeni;
14 Y su cabeza y sus cabellos eran blancos como la lana blanca, como la nieve; y sus ojos como llama de fuego;
15 i noge Njegove kao bronza kad se rastopi u peći; i glas Njegov kao huka voda mnogih;
17 I kad Ga videh, padoh k nogama Njegovim kao mrtav, i metnu desnicu svoju na me govoreći mi: Ne boj se, ja sam Prvi i Poslednji,
17 Y cuando yo le vi, caí como muerto á sus pies. Y él puso su diestra sobre mí, diciéndome: No temas: yo soy el primero y el último;
18 i Živi: i bejah mrtav i evo sam živ va vek veka, amin. I imam ključeve od pakla i od smrti.
19 Napiši dakle šta si video, i šta je, i šta će biti potom;
20 tajna sedam zvezda koje si video na desnici mojoj, i sedam svećnjaka zlatnih: sedam zvezda jesu anđeli sedam crkava; i sedam svećnjaka koje si video jesu sedam crkava.

  1. Cita 1:5 Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies (Book III, Chapter XXII)

    And the prophet, too, indicates the same, saying, "instead of fathers, children have been born unto thee." For the Lord, having been born "the First-begotten of the dead," and receiving into His bosom the ancient fathers, has regenerated them into the life of God, He having been made Himself the beginning of those that live, as Adam became the beginning …

  2. Cita 1:4 Augustine of Hippo, The City of God (Book XVII, Chapter 4)

    For which reason also the Apostle John writes to the seven churches, showing in that way that he writes to the totality of the one Church; and in the Proverbs of Solomon it is said aforetime, prefiguring this, "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath strengthened her seven pillars." For the city of God was barren in all nations before …

  3. Cita 1:8 Gregory of Nazianzus, Theological Orations (The Third Theological Oration)

    "The Lord rained down fire from the Lord;" and "A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy Kingdom;" and "Which is and was and is to come, the Almighty" --all which are clearly spoken of the Son, with all the other passages of the same force, none of which is an afterthought, or added later to the Son or …

  4. Cita 1:15 Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies (Book IV, Chapter IX)

    On this account also does John declare in the Apocalypse, "And His voice as the sound of many waters." For the Spirit [of God] is truly [like] many waters, since the Father is both rich and great.

  5. Cita 1:4 Augustine of Hippo, Sermons on Selected Lessons of the New Testament (Sermon XLV)
