VUL Vulgata Clementina
WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos)
1 Canticum graduum. [De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine;
130:1 A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.
2 Domine, exaudi vocem meam. Fiant aures tuæ intendentes in vocem deprecationis meæ.
130:2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.
3 Si iniquitates observaveris, Domine, Domine, quis sustinebit?
130:3 If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
Sustinuit anima mea in verbo ejus:
130:4 But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.
5 speravit anima mea in Domino.
130:5 I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in his word.
6 A custodia matutina usque ad noctem, speret Israël in Domino.
130:6 My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.
7 Quia apud Dominum misericordia, et copiosa apud eum redemptio.
130:7 Israel, hope in Yahweh, for there is loving kindness with Yahweh. Abundant redemption is with him.
130:8 He will redeem Israel from all their sins.

  1. Comentario Augustine of Hippo, Expositions on the Psalms (Psalm CXXIX)

The Psalm which we have sung is short: but as it is written in the Gospel of Zacchæus that he was "little of stature," but mighty in works; as it is written of that widow who cast two mites into the treasury, little was the money, but great was her charity; thus also this Psalm, if thou count the words, …

Lord, hear and pity, O Lord my God, light of the blind, and strength of the weak; even also light of those that see, and strength of the strong, hearken unto my soul, and hear it crying "out of the depths." For unless Thine ears be present in the depths also, whither shall we go?
