FBV Free Bible Version (Versión Biblia Libre en inglés) WEB World English Bible (clásica, con deuterocanónicos) 1 Soon after this Jesus went around the towns and villages announcing the good news of God's kingdom. The twelve disciples went with him, 1 Y ACONTECIÓ después, que él caminaba por todas las ciudades y aldeas, predicando y anunciando el evangelio del reino de Dios, y los doce con él,
1 Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,
2 along with a number of women who had been healed from evil spirits and sickness: Mary called Magdalene from whom he had cast out seven demons; 2 Y algunas mujeres que habían sido curadas de malos espíritus y de enfermedades: María, que se llamaba Magdalena, de la cual habían salido siete demonios,
2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
3 Joanna, the wife of Herod's manager Chuza; Susanna; and many more who provided support from their personal resources.
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.
4 Once when a large crowd of people gathered, coming from many towns to see him, Jesus spoke to them, using a story as an illustration.
4 When a great multitude came together and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable:
5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he scattered the seed, some fell on the road where people trampled on it and birds ate it up. 5 Uno que sembraba, salió á sembrar su simiente; y sembrando, una parte cayó junto al camino, y fué hollada; y las aves del cielo la comieron.
5 “The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
6 Some fell on stony ground, and once the seeds had sprouted they withered for lack of moisture.
6 Some seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
7 Some seeds fell among thorns and as they both grew the thorns choked the plants.
7 Some fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.
8 Some seeds fell on good earth and after they grew they produced a harvest one hundred times more than what had been sown.” After he told them this, he called out, “If you have ears, then listen!” 8 Y otra parte cayó en buena tierra, y cuando fué nacida, llevó fruto á ciento por uno.
8 Some fell into the good ground and grew and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
9 But his disciples asked him, “What does this illustration mean?” 9 Y sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo, qué era esta parábola.
9 Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”
10 Jesus replied, “You've been given insights into the mysteries of God's kingdom, but the rest are given illustrations so that, ‘Even though they see, they don't really see; and even though they hear, they don't really understand.’ 10 Y él dijo: A vosotros es dado conocer los misterios del reino de Dios; mas á los otros por parábolas, para que viendo no vean, y oyendo no entiendan.
10 He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’
11 This is the meaning of the illustration: The seed is God's word.
11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 The seeds that fall on the road are those who hear the message, but then the devil comes and steals away the truth from their minds so they won't trust in God and be saved.
12 Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
13 The seeds that fall on the stony ground are those who hear and welcome the message with joy but don't have any roots. They trust for a while but when difficult times come they give up. 13 Y los de sobre la piedra, [son] los que habiendo oído, reciben la palabra con gozo; mas éstos no tienen raíces; que á tiempo creen, y en el tiempo de la tentación se apartan.
13 Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.
14 The seeds that fall among thorns are those who hear the message but it's choked out by life's distractions—worries, wealth, pleasure—so they don't produce anything.
14 What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.
15 The seeds sown on good earth are those who are honest and do what is right. They hear the message of truth, hold on to it, and through their perseverance produce a good harvest.
15 Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.
16 You don't light a lamp and then cover it with a bucket, or hide it under a bed. No, you put it on a stand, so that anyone who comes in can see the light.
16 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
17 For there's nothing hidden that won't be revealed; there's nothing secret that won't become known and obvious.
17 For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
18 So pay attention how you ‘hear.’ To those who have received, more will be given; from those who don't receive, even what they think they have will be taken away!” 18 Mirad pues cómo oís; porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; y á cualquiera que no tuviere, aun lo que parece tener le será quitado.
18 Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”
19 Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived, but they couldn't get through the crowd to see him.
19 His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
20 Jesus was told, “Your mother and your brothers are outside. They want to see you.” 20 Y le fué dado aviso, diciendo: Tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, que quieren verte.
20 Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”
21 “My mother and my brothers are those who hear God's word, and do what it says,” Jesus replied.
21 But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let's cross over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set off. Y partieron.
22 Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.
23 As they were sailing, Jesus fell asleep, and a storm came down on the lake. The boat began filling with water and they were in danger of sinking.
23 But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
24 They went over to Jesus and woke him up. “Master, master, we're going to drown!” they said. Jesus woke up and commanded the wind and the rough waves to stop. They stopped, and all was calm.
24 They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.
25 “Where is your trust?” he asked them. Terrified and amazed, they said to each other, “So who is this? He gives commands to the winds and the water, and they obey him!” 25 Y les dijo: ¿Qué es de vuestra fe?
25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”
26 They sailed across to the Gerasene region that lies opposite Galilee.
26 Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 When Jesus stepped out of the boat onto the shore, a demon-possessed man from the town came to meet him. For a long time he hadn't worn any clothes or lived in a house. He lived in the tombs.
27 When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus he screamed, fell down at Jesus' feet, and asked in a loud voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Please don't torture me, I beg you!” 28 El cual, como vió á Jesús, exclamó y se postró delante de él, y dijo á gran voz: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Ruégote que no me atormentes.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”
29 For Jesus had already commanded the evil spirit to leave the man. It had often seized him, and despite being tied down with chains and shackles, and placed under guard, he would break the chains apart and would be driven by the demon into the desert areas.
29 For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
30 “What is your name?” Jesus asked him. “Legion,” he replied, for many demons had entered him. 30 Y le preguntó Jesús, diciendo: ¿Qué nombre tienes? Y él dijo: Legión. Porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.
30 Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.
31 They begged Jesus not to order them to go into the Abyss.
31 They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.
32 There was a large herd of pigs feeding on the nearby hillside, and the demons begged him to be allowed to go into the pigs.
32 Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.
33 so the demons left the man and entered the pigs. The herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.
33 The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
34 When the pig-keepers saw what had happened they ran off and spread the news through the town and the countryside.
34 When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.
35 The people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus they found the man freed from the demons. He was sitting there at Jesus' feet, wearing clothes and in his right mind; and they became scared.
35 People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 Those who had seen what happened explained how the demon-possessed man had been healed.
36 Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.
37 Then all the people from the Gerasene region asked Jesus to leave because they were overwhelmed by fear. So he got into the boat and went back.
37 All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.
38 The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away.
38 But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 “Go back home, and tell people all that God has done for you,” Jesus told him. So he went away, telling the whole town all that Jesus had done for him.
39 “Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
40 A crowd of people was there to welcome Jesus when he returned, all eagerly expecting him.
40 When Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 One was a man called Jairus, a synagogue leader, who came and fell at Jesus' feet. He pleaded with Jesus to come to his home 41 Y he aquí un varón, llamado Jairo, y que era príncipe de la sinagoga, vino, y cayendo á los pies de Jesús, le rogaba que entrase en su casa;
41 Behold, a man named Jairus came. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house,
42 because his only daughter was dying. She was about twelve years old. While Jesus was on his way there, people were crowding around him.
42 for he had an only born daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.
43 In the crowd was a woman who had suffered with bleeding for twelve years. She had spent all she had on doctors, but none of them had been able to help her.
43 A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians and could not be healed by any,
44 She approached Jesus from behind and touched the hem of his cloak. Immediately the bleeding stopped.
44 came behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak. Immediately the flow of her blood stopped.
45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Everybody around denied doing so. “But Master,” said Peter, “there are people crowding around you, and they keep pushing up against you.” 45 Entonces Jesús dijo: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado?
45 Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”
46 “Someone touched me,” Jesus replied. “I know because power went out from me.” 46 Y Jesús dijo: Me ha tocado alguien; porque yo he conocido que ha salido virtud de mí.
46 But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”
47 When the woman realized she couldn't go unnoticed, she came forward, trembling, and fell down before him. Right in front of everybody she explained the reason why she had touched Jesus, and that she'd been cured immediately.
47 When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your trust has healed you, go in peace.” 48 Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha salvado: ve en paz.
48 He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
49 While he was still speaking, someone came from the home of the synagogue leader to tell him, “Your daughter's dead. You don't need to bother the Teacher any longer.” 49 Estando aún él hablando, vino uno del príncipe de la sinagoga á decirle: Tu hija es muerta, no des trabajo al Maestro.
49 While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”
50 But when he heard this, Jesus told Jairus, “Don't be afraid. If you trust, she will be healed.” 50 Y oyéndolo Jesús, le respondió: No temas: cree solamente, y será salva.
50 But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
51 When Jesus arrived at the house he didn't allow anyone else to go in except Peter, John, and James, and the girl's father and mother.
51 When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.
52 All the people there were crying and mourning for her. “Don't cry,” Jesus told them. “She's not dead, she's just sleeping.” 52 Y lloraban todos, y la plañían.
52 All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”
53 They laughed at him, because they knew that she was dead.
53 They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.
54 But Jesus took her by the hand, and said in a loud voice, “My child, get up!” 54 Mas él, tomándola de la mano, clamó, diciendo: Muchacha, levántate.
54 But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”
55 She came back to life, and she got up at once. Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
55 Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.
56 Her parents were astonished at what had happened, but Jesus instructed them not to tell anyone about it. 56 Y sus padres estaban atónitos; á los cuales él mandó, que á nadie dijesen lo que había sido hecho.
56 Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
