1 A sada smeju mi se mlađi od mene, kojima otaca ne bih hteo metnuti sa psima stada svog.
1 MAS ahora los más mozos de días que yo, se ríen de mí; cuyos padres yo desdeñara ponerlos con los perros de mi ganado.
1 “But now those who are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I considered unworthy to put with my sheep dogs.
2 A na šta bi mi i bila sila ruku njihovih? U njima beše propala starost.
2 Porque ¿para qué yo habría menester la fuerza de sus manos, en los cuales había perecido con el tiempo?
2 Of what use is the strength of their hands to me, men in whom ripe age has perished?
3 Od siromaštva i gladi samoćavahu bežeći od suva, mračna, pusta i opustošena mesta;
3 Por causa de la pobreza y del hambre [andaban] solos; huían á la soledad, á lugar tenebroso, asolado y desierto.
3 They are gaunt from lack and famine. They gnaw the dry ground, in the gloom of waste and desolation.
4 Koji brahu lobodu po čestama, i smrekovo korenje beše im hrana.
4 Que cogían malvas entre los arbustos, y raíces de enebro para calentarse.
4 They pluck salt herbs by the bushes. The roots of the broom tree are their food.
5 Između ljudi behu izgonjeni i vikaše se za njima kao za lupežom.
5 Eran echados de entre [las gentes], y todos les daban grita como al ladrón.
5 They are driven out from among men. They cry after them as after a thief,
6 Življahu po strašnim uvalama, po jamama u zemlji i u kamenu.
6 Habitaban en las barrancas de los arroyos, en las cavernas de la tierra, y en las rocas.
6 so that they live in frightful valleys, and in holes of the earth and of the rocks.
7 Po grmovima rikahu, pod trnjem se skupljahu.
7 Bramaban entre las matas, y se reunían debajo de las espinas.
7 They bray among the bushes. They are gathered together under the nettles.
8 Behu ljudi nikakvi i bez imena, manje vredni nego zemlja.
8 Hijos de viles, y hombres sin nombre, más bajos que la misma tierra.
8 They are children of fools, yes, children of wicked men. They were flogged out of the land.
9 I njima sam sada pesma, i postah im priča.
9 Y ahora yo soy su canción, y he sido hecho su refrán.
9 “Now I have become their song. Yes, I am a byword to them.
10 Gade se na me, idu daleko od mene i ne ustežu se pljuvati mi u lice.
10 Abomínanme, aléjanse de mí, y aun de mi rostro no detuvieron su saliva.
10 They abhor me, they stand aloof from me, and don’t hesitate to spit in my face.
11 Jer je Bog odapeo moju tetivu i muke mi zadao te zbaciše uzdu preda mnom.
11 Porque [Dios] desató mi cuerda, y me afligió, por eso se desenfrenaron delante de mi rostro.
11 For he has untied his cord, and afflicted me; and they have thrown off restraint before me.
12 S desne strane ustajahu momci, potkidahu mi noge, i nasipaju put k meni da me upropaste.
12 A la mano derecha se levantaron los jóvenes; empujaron mis pies, y sentaron contra mí las vías de su ruina.
12 On my right hand rise the rabble. They thrust aside my feet. They cast their ways of destruction up against me.
13 Raskopaše moju stazu, umnožiše mi muke, ne treba niko da im pomaže.
13 Mi senda desbarataron, aprovecháronse de mi quebrantamiento, contra los cuales no hubo ayudador.
13 They mar my path. They promote my destruction without anyone’s help.
14 Kao širokim prolomom naviru, i navaljuju preko razvalina.
14 Vinieron como por portillo ancho, revolviéronse á [mi] calamidad.
14 As through a wide breach they come. They roll themselves in amid the ruin.
15 Strahote navališe na me, i kao vetar teraju dušu moju, i kao oblak prođe sreća moja.
15 Hanse revuelto turbaciones sobre mí; combatieron como viento mi alma, y mi salud pasó como nube.
15 Terrors have turned on me. They chase my honor as the wind. My welfare has passed away as a cloud.
16 I sada se duša moja razliva u meni, stigoše me dani mučni.
16 Y ahora mi alma está derramada en mí; días de aflicción me han aprehendido.
16 “Now my soul is poured out within me. Days of affliction have taken hold of me.
17 Noću probada mi kosti u meni, i žile moje ne odmaraju se.
17 De noche taladra sobre mí mis huesos, y mis pulsos no reposan.
17 In the night season my bones are pierced in me, and the pains that gnaw me take no rest.
18 Od teške sile promenilo se odelo moje, i kao ogrlica u košulje moje steže me.
18 Con la grande copia [de materia] mi vestidura está demudada; cíñeme como el cuello de mi túnica.
18 My garment is disfigured by great force. It binds me about as the collar of my tunic.
19 Bacio me je u blato, te sam kao prah i pepeo.
19 Derribóme en el lodo, y soy semejante al polvo y á la ceniza.
19 He has cast me into the mire. I have become like dust and ashes.
20 Vičem k Tebi, a Ti me ne slušaš; stojim pred Tobom, a Ti ne gledaš na me.
20 Clamo á ti, y no me oyes; preséntome, y no me atiendes.
20 I cry to you, and you do not answer me. I stand up, and you gaze at me.
21 Pretvorio si mi se u ljuta neprijatelja; silom ruke svoje suprotiš mi se.
21 Haste tornado cruel para mí: con la fortaleza de tu mano me amenazas.
21 You have turned to be cruel to me. With the might of your hand you persecute me.
22 Podižeš me u vetar, posađuješ me na nj, i rastapaš u meni sve dobro.
22 Levantásteme, é hicísteme cabalgar sobre el viento, y disolviste mi sustancia.
22 You lift me up to the wind, and drive me with it. You dissolve me in the storm.
23 Jer znam da ćeš me odvesti na smrt i u dom određeni svima živima.
23 Porque yo conozco que me reduces á la muerte; y á la casa determinada á todo viviente.
23 For I know that you will bring me to death, to the house appointed for all living.
24 Ali neće pružiti ruke svoje u grob; kad ih stane potirati, oni neće vikati.
24 Mas él no extenderá la mano contra el sepulcro; ¿clamarán [los sepultados] cuando él los quebrantare?
24 “However doesn’t one stretch out a hand in his fall? Or in his calamity therefore cry for help?
25 Nisam li plakao radi onog koji beše u zlu? Nije li duša moja žalosna bivala radi ubogog?
25 ¿No lloré yo al afligido? Y mi alma ¿no se entristeció sobre el menesteroso?
25 Didn’t I weep for him who was in trouble? Wasn’t my soul grieved for the needy?
26 Kad se dobru nadah, dođe mi zlo; i kad se nadah svetlosti, dođe mrak.
26 Cuando esperaba yo el bien, entonces vino el mal; y cuando esperaba luz, la oscuridad vino.
26 When I looked for good, then evil came. When I waited for light, darkness came.
27 Utroba je moja uzavrela, i ne može da se umiri, zadesiše me dani mučni.
27 Mis entrañas hierven, y no reposan; días de aflicción me han sobrecogido.
27 My heart is troubled, and doesn’t rest. Days of affliction have come on me.
28 Hodim crn, ne od sunca, ustajem i vičem u zboru.
28 Denegrido ando, y no por el sol: levantádome he en la congregación, y clamado.
28 I go mourning without the sun. I stand up in the assembly, and cry for help.
29 Brat postah zmajevima i drug sovama.
29 He venido á ser hermano de los dragones, y compañero de los buhos.
29 I am a brother to jackals, and a companion to ostriches.
30 Pocrnela je koža na meni i kosti moje posahnuše od žege.
30 Mi piel está denegrida sobre mí, y mis huesos se secaron con ardentía.
30 My skin grows black and peels from me. My bones are burned with heat.
31 Gusle se moje pretvoriše u zapevku, i svirala moja u plač.
31 Y hase tornado mi arpa en luto, y mi órgano en voz de lamentadores.
31 Therefore my harp has turned to mourning, and my pipe into the voice of those who weep.
