1 David cantó al Señor esta canción el día en que el Señor lo libró de todos sus enemigos y de Saúl.
1 David spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
2 Dijo: El Señor es mi roca, mi fortaleza y mi libertador.
2 and he said: “Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;
3 Mi Dios es mi roca, en quien confío; mi escudo, el poder de mi salvación, mi torre alta y mi refugio. Tú eres mi salvador y me libras del hombre violento.
3 God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.
4 Clamo al Señor, quien merece toda alabanza, y así soy salvado de mis enemigos.
4 I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
5 Las olas de la muerte me rodearon; torrentes de maldad me llenaron de miedo.
5 For the waves of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
6 Los lazos del lugar de los muertos me rodearon; las trampas de la muerte estaban delante de mí.
6 The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
7 En mi angustia clamé al Señor; llamé a mi Dios. Desde su santo templo oyó mi voz, y mi clamor llegó a sus oídos.
7 In my distress, I called on Yahweh. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry came into his ears.
8 Entonces la tierra tembló violentamente. Los fundamentos del cielo se estremecieron porque él estaba enojado.
8 Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
9 De su nariz subía humo, y de su boca salía fuego que destruía; carbones encendidos salían de él.
9 Smoke went up out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.
10 Inclinó los cielos y descendió; una densa oscuridad estaba debajo de sus pies.
10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
11 Voló por el aire sobre una nube de tormenta; avanzó sobre las alas del viento.
11 He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he was seen on the wings of the wind.
12 Hizo de la oscuridad una tienda a su alrededor, rodeado de aguas oscuras y espesas nubes del cielo.
12 He made darkness a shelter around himself, gathering of waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
13 Del resplandor que estaba delante de él pasaban sus nubes oscuras, con granizo y carbones encendidos.
13 At the brightness before him, coals of fire were kindled.
14 El Señor tronó desde los cielos; se oyó la voz del Altísimo.
14 Yahweh thundered from heaven. The Most High uttered his voice.
15 Disparó sus flechas y dispersó a sus enemigos; lanzó relámpagos y los llenó de confusión.
15 He sent out arrows and scattered them, lightning and confused them.
16 Entonces quedaron al descubierto los canales del mar y aparecieron los fundamentos del mundo, por la reprensión del Señor y por el fuerte soplo de su aliento.
16 Then the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare by Yahweh’s rebuke, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17 Extendió su mano desde lo alto, me tomó y me sacó de las aguas profundas.
17 He sent from on high and he took me. He drew me out of many waters.
18 Me libró de mi enemigo poderoso y de los que me odiaban, porque eran más fuertes que yo.
18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
19 Me atacaron en el día de mi desgracia, pero el Señor fue mi apoyo.
19 They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support.
20 Me sacó a un lugar amplio; me salvó porque se agradaba de mí.
20 He also brought me out into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21 El Señor me recompensó conforme a mi justicia; me pagó conforme a la limpieza de mis manos.
21 Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness. He rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.
22 Porque he seguido los caminos del Señor y no me he apartado de mi Dios para hacer el mal.
22 For I have kept Yahweh’s ways, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 Siempre tuve presentes sus decisiones y no me aparté de sus leyes.
23 For all his ordinances were before me. As for his statutes, I didn’t depart from them.
24 Fui íntegro delante de él y me guardé del pecado.
24 I was also perfect toward him. I kept myself from my iniquity.
25 Por eso el Señor me recompensó conforme a mi justicia y conforme a la limpieza de mis manos ante sus ojos.
25 Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to my cleanness in his eyesight.
26 Con el misericordioso muestras misericordia; con el hombre íntegro actúas con integridad.
26 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.
27 Con el santo muestras tu santidad, pero con el hombre de camino torcido eres un juez severo.
27 With the pure you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.
28 Tú salvas al pueblo afligido, pero humillas a los orgullosos.
28 You will save the afflicted people, but your eyes are on the arrogant, that you may bring them down.
29 Tú eres mi lámpara, Señor; el Señor ilumina mi oscuridad.
29 For you are my lamp, Yahweh. Yahweh will light up my darkness.
30 Con tu ayuda atravieso la muralla que me cierra el paso; con mi Dios puedo saltar un muro.
30 For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
31 El camino de Dios es perfecto. La palabra del Señor ha sido probada. Él es escudo para todos los que se refugian en él.
31 As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
32 Porque ¿quién es Dios sino el Señor? ¿Quién es roca sino nuestro Dios?
32 For who is God, besides Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God?
33 Dios me rodea de fuerza y hace seguro mi camino.
33 God is my strong fortress. He makes my way perfect.
34 Hace mis pies como los de un ciervo y me mantiene firme en las alturas.
34 He makes his feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.
35 Entrena mis manos para la guerra, de modo que mis brazos pueden doblar un arco de bronce.
35 He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
36 Me has dado el escudo de tu salvación, y tu ayuda me ha hecho grande.
36 You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
37 Has ensanchado el camino bajo mis pies para que no resbalen.
37 You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
38 Perseguí a mis enemigos y los alcancé; no regresé hasta haberlos derrotado.
38 I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them. I didn’t turn again until they were consumed.
39 Los destruí y los herí de modo que no pudieron levantarse; cayeron debajo de mis pies.
39 I have consumed them, and struck them through, so that they can’t arise. Yes, they have fallen under my feet.
40 Tú me diste fuerza para la batalla y humillaste delante de mí a los que se levantaron contra mí.
40 For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
41 Hiciste que mis enemigos huyeran de mí, y destruí a los que me odiaban.
41 You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
42 Clamaron, pero nadie los ayudó. Clamaron al Señor, pero él no les respondió.
42 They looked, but there was no one to save; even to Yahweh, but he didn’t answer them.
43 Los trituré como polvo de la tierra y los pisoteé como barro de las calles.
43 Then I beat them as small as the dust of the earth. I crushed them as the mire of the streets, and spread them abroad.
44 Me libraste de las luchas de mi pueblo. Me hiciste cabeza de las naciones. Un pueblo que yo no conocía me sirve.
44 You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
45 Los extranjeros fingen obediencia y se someten a mí. En cuanto oyen hablar de mí, quedan bajo mi autoridad.
45 The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
46 Los extranjeros pierden su valor y salen temblando de sus fortalezas.
46 The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
47 ¡Vive el Señor! Bendita sea mi roca. Sea exaltado el Dios de mi salvación.
47 Yahweh lives! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,
48 Él es el Dios que me da venganza y somete pueblos bajo mi autoridad.
48 even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
49 Me libra de mis enemigos. Tú me elevas sobre los que se levantan contra mí y me salvas del hombre violento.
49 who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
50 Por eso te alabaré, Señor, entre las naciones y cantaré alabanzas a tu nombre.
50 Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
51 Él da grandes victorias a su rey y muestra misericordia a su ungido, a David y a su descendencia para siempre.
51 He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
