4 Doveka ću utvrđivati seme tvoje i presto tvoj uređivati od kolena do kolena.”
(Selah.)
5 Nebo kazuje čudesa Tvoja, Gospode, i istinu Tvoju sabor svetih.
I istina je Tvoja oko Tebe.
10 Ti si oborio oholi Misir kao ranjenika, krepkom mišicom svojom rasejao si neprijatelje svoje.
13 Tvoja je mišica krepka, silna je ruka Tvoja, i visoka desnica Tvoja.
14 Blagost je i pravda podnožje prestolu Tvom, milost i istina ide pred licem Tvojim.
15 Blago narodu koji zna trubnu poklič! Gospode! U svetlosti lica Tvog oni hode;
19 Tada si govorio u utvari vernima svojim, i rekao: „Poslah pomoć junaku, uzvisih izbranog svog iz naroda.
19 Entonces hablaste en visión á tu santo, y dijiste: Yo he puesto el socorro sobre valiente; he ensalzado [un] escogido de mi pueblo.
20 Nađoh Davida, slugu svog, svetim uljem svojim pomazah ga.
21 Ruka će moja biti jednako s njim, i mišica moja krepiće ga.
22 Neće ga neprijatelj nadvladati, i sin bezakonja neće mu dosaditi.
23 Potrću pred licem njegovim neprijatelje njegove, i nenavidnike njegove poraziću.
25 Pružiću na more ruku njegovu, i na reke desnicu njegovu.
26 On će me zvati: Ti si Otac moj, Bog moj i grad spasenja mog.
27 I ja ću ga učiniti prvencem, višim od careva zemaljskih.
28 Doveka ću mu hraniti milost svoju, i zavet je moj s njim veran.
29 Produžiću seme njegovo doveka, i presto njegov kao dane nebeske.
30 Ako sinovi njegovi ostave zakon moj, i ne uzidu u zapovestima mojim;
30 Si dejaren sus hijos mi ley, y no anduvieren en mis juicios;
31 Ako pogaze uredbe moje, i zapovesti moje ne sačuvaju,
31 Si profanaren mis estatutos, y no guardaren mis mandamientos;
32 Onda ću ih pokarati prutom za nepokornost, i ranama za bezakonje njihovo;
33 Ali milosti svoje neću uzeti od njega, niti ću prevrnuti istinom svojom;
36 Seme će njegovo trajati doveka, i presto njegov kao sunce preda mnom;
37 On će stajati uvek kao mesec i verni svedok u oblacima.”
(Selah.)
38 A sad si odbacio i zanemario, razgnevio si se na pomazanika svog;
38 Mas tú desechaste y menospreciaste á tu ungido; y te has airado [con él].
40 Razvalio si sve ograde njegove, gradove njegove obratio si u zidine.
41 Plene ga svi koji prolaze onuda, posta podsmeh u suseda svojih.
42 Uzvisio si desnicu neprijatelja njegovih, obradovao si sve protivnike njegove.
42 Has ensalzado la diestra de sus enemigos; has alegrado á todos sus adversarios.
43 Zavratio si oštrice mača njegovog, i nisi ga ukrepio u boju;
44 Uzeo si mu svetlost, i presto njegov oborio si na zemlju;
45 Skratio si dane mladosti njegove i obukao ga u sramotu.
48 ¿Qué hombre vivirá y no verá muerte? ¿librarás su vida del poder del sepulcro? (Selah.)
51 Kojim kore neprijatelji Tvoji, Gospode, kojim kore trag pomazanika Tvog.
52 Blagosloven Gospod uvek! Amin, amin.
52 Bendito Jehová para siempre. Amén, y Amén.

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).
