Vamvas Modern Greek Bible: Vamvas (1850)
RV1909 Reina-Valera 1909
10 Y habló más Jehová á Achâz, diciendo:
12 Y respondió Achâz: No pediré, y no tentaré á Jehová.
13 Και είπεν ο Ησαΐας, Ακούσατε τώρα, οίκος Δαβίδ μικρόν πράγμα είναι διά σας να βαρύνητε ανθρώπους, και θέλετε βαρύνει έτι και τον Θεόν μου;
21 Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que críe un hombre una vaca y dos ovejas;

Why does my Bible say something different?

What the Fathers said

Passages from the Church Fathers that expound or quote this chapter, verbatim from the public-domain Schaff edition (19th-century English translations).

How these were chosen

“Commentary” is the opening of a homily or exposition on this chapter (John Chrysostom’s homilies, Augustine’s tractates, sermons and expositions of the Psalms). “Quotes” are sentences where the edition’s own footnotes identify a quotation of a verse here, kept only when the wording matches the verse. Only works whose authorship is not in doubt are used. Psalms follow the Hebrew/English numbering (Augustine numbers them as the Septuagint does: his Psalm 50 is Psalm 51 here).

" For things which were incredible and seemed impossible with men, these God predicted by the Spirit of prophecy …
