- Psalms are numbered as in the Septuagint (Psalm 50 = Psalm 51 in English Bibles); verse numbers follow the Russian Synodal Bible, where a psalm's title is verse 1 (or 1–2).
- Psalms 13, 71, 92, 127 and 129 divide their verses differently from the Russian Synodal Bible, so a few verse numbers there do not match it; the line "The songs of David, son of Jesse, are ended" opens Psalm 72 (with its title) instead of closing Psalm 71.
- Church Slavonic in its traditional (Synodal) spelling, with accents, breathings and titlo abbreviations, shown in the Ponomar font (SIL Open Font License).

The righteous cried, and the Lord heard him, and delivered him out of all his troubles." "Many are the stripes [appointed for] the wicked; but mercy shall compass those about who hope in the Lord." Nor dost Thou draw near but to the contrite heart, nor art Thou found by the proud, --not even could they number by cunning skill the stars and the sand, and measure the starry regions, and trace the courses of the …

For it is said, "Depart from evil, and do good;" and again, "Make thy tongue to cease from evil, and thy lips that they speak no guile." "But tell me the good too." "Seek peace, and pursue it:" I mean not peace with man only, but also peace with God.

Therefore magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His Name together,--all of us in common, for one alone is powerless; nay rather, even if we be all united together, we shall yet not do it as we ought.
