1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:
1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
1 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
2 Fili hominis, vaticinare ad prophetas Israël qui prophetant, et dices prophetantibus de corde suo: [Audite verbum Domini.
2 Hijo del hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan, y di á los que profetizan de su corazón: Oid palabra de Jehová.
2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word:
3 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Væ prophetis insipientibus, qui sequuntur spiritum suum, et nihil vident !
3 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de los profetas insensatos, que andan en pos de su propio espíritu, y nada vieron!
3 The Lord Yahweh says, “Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4 Quasi vulpes in desertis prophetæ tui, Israël, erant.
4 Como zorras en los desiertos fueron tus profetas, oh Israel.
4 Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.
5 Non ascendistis ex adverso, neque opposuistis murum pro domo Israël, ut staretis in prælio in die Domini.
5 No habéis subido á los portillos, ni echasteis vallado en la casa de Israel, estando en la batalla en el día de Jehová.
5 You have not gone up into the gaps or built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in Yahweh’s day.
6 Vident vana, et divinant mendacium, dicentes: Ait Dominus, cum Dominus non miserit eos: et perseveraverunt confirmare sermonem.
6 Vieron vanidad y adivinación de mentira. Dicen: Ha dicho Jehová; y Jehová no los envió: y hacen esperar que se confirme la palabra.
6 They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, ‘Yahweh says;’ but Yahweh has not sent them. They have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.
7 Numquid non visionem cassam vidistis, et divinationem mendacem locuti estis, et dicitis: Ait Dominus, cum ego non sim locutus?
7 ¿No habéis visto visión vana, y no habéis dicho adivinación de mentira, por cuanto decís, Dijo Jehová; no habiendo yo hablado?
7 Haven’t you seen a false vision, and haven’t you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, ‘Yahweh says;’ but I have not spoken?”
8 Propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Quia locuti estis vana, et vidistis mendacium, ideo ecce ego ad vos, dicit Dominus Deus.
8 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto vosotros habéis hablado vanidad, y habéis visto mentira, por tanto, he aquí yo contra vosotros, dice el Señor Jehová.
8 “‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,” says the Lord Yahweh.
9 Et erit manus mea super prophetas qui vident vana, et divinant mendacium: in consilio populi mei non erunt, et in scriptura domus Israël non scribentur, nec in terram Israël ingredientur, et scietis quia ego Dominus Deus:
9 Y será mi mano contra los profetas que ven vanidad, y adivinan mentira: no serán en la congregación de mi pueblo, ni serán escritos en el libro de la casa de Israel, ni á la tierra de Israel volverán; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
9 “My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”
10 eo quod deceperint populum meum, dicentes: Pax, et non est pax: et ipse ædificabat parietem, illi autem liniebant eum luto absque paleis.
10 Por tanto, y por cuanto engañaron á mi pueblo, diciendo, Paz, no habiendo paz; y el uno edificaba la pared, y he aquí que los otros la encostraban con lodo suelto;
10 “‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.
11 Dic ad eos qui liniunt absque temperatura, quod casurus sit: erit enim imber inundans, et dabo lapides prægrandes desuper irruentes, et ventum procellæ dissipantem.
11 Di á los encostradores con lodo suelto, que caerá; vendrá lluvia inundante, y daré piedras de granizo que la hagan caer, y viento tempestuoso la romperá.
11 Tell those who plaster it with whitewash that it will fall. There will be an overflowing shower; and you, great hailstones, will fall. A stormy wind will tear it.
12 Siquidem ecce cecidit paries: numquid non dicetur vobis: Ubi est litura quam linistis?
12 Y he aquí, cuando la pared habrá caído, no os dirán: ¿Dónde está la embarradura con que encostrasteis?
12 Behold, when the wall has fallen, won’t it be said to you, “Where is the plaster with which you have plastered it?”
13 Propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Et erumpere faciam spiritum tempestatum in indignatione mea, et imber inundans in furore meo erit, et lapides grandes in ira in consumptionem.
13 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Y haré que la rompa viento tempestuoso con mi ira, y lluvia inundante vendrá con mi furor, y piedras de granizo con enojo para consumir.
13 “‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “I will even tear it with a stormy wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.
14 Et destruam parietem quem linistis absque temperamento, et adæquabo eum terræ, et revelabitur fundamentum ejus: et cadet, et consumetur in medio ejus, et scietis quia ego sum Dominus.
14 Así desbarataré la pared que vosotros encostrasteis con lodo suelto, y echaréla á tierra, y será descubierto su cimiento, y caerá, y seréis consumidos en medio de ella; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
14 So I will break down the wall that you have plastered with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered. It will fall, and you will be consumed in the middle of it. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.
15 Et complebo indignationem meam in pariete, et in his qui liniunt eum absque temperamento: dicamque vobis: Non est paries, et non sunt qui liniunt eum:
15 Cumpliré así mi furor en la pared y en los que la encostraron con lodo suelto; y os diré: No existe la pared, ni aquellos que la encostraron,
15 Thus I will accomplish my wrath on the wall, and on those who have plastered it with whitewash. I will tell you, ‘The wall is no more, nor those who plastered it—
16 prophetæ Israël, qui prophetant ad Jerusalem, et vident ei visionem pacis, et non est pax, ait Dominus Deus.]
16 Los profetas de Israel que profetizan á Jerusalem, y ven para ella visión de paz, no habiendo paz, dice el Señor Jehová.
16 to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord Yahweh.’”
17 Et tu, fili hominis, pone faciem tuam contra filias populi tui quæ prophetant de corde suo: et vaticinare super eas,
17 Y tú, hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro á las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan de su corazón, y profetiza contra ellas,
17 You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them,
18 et dic: [Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Væ quæ consuunt pulvillos sub omni cubito manus, et faciunt cervicalia sub capite universæ ætatis ad capiendas animas: et cum caperent animas populi mei, vivificabant animas eorum !
18 Y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de aquellas que cosen almohadillas á todos codos de manos, y hacen veletes sobre la cabeza de toda edad para cazar las almas! ¿Habéis de cazar las almas de mi pueblo, para mantener así vuestra propia vida?
18 and say, “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all elbows and make veils for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?
19 Et violabant me ad populum meum propter pugillum hordei, et fragmen panis, ut interficerent animas quæ non moriuntur, et vivificarent animas quæ non vivunt, mentientes populo meo credenti mendaciis.
19 ¿Y habéis de profanarme entre mi pueblo por puñados de cebada y por pedazos de pan, matando las almas que no mueren, y dando vida á las almas que no vivirán, mintiendo á mi pueblo que escucha la mentira?
19 You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls who should not die and to save the souls alive who should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.’
20 Propter hoc hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Ecce ego ad pulvillos vestros, quibus vos capitis animas volantes: et dirumpam eos de brachiis vestris, et dimittam animas quas vos capitis, animas ad volandum.
20 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra vuestras almohadillas, con que cazáis ahí las almas volando; yo las arrancaré de vuestros brazos, y dejaré las almas, las almas que cazáis volando.
20 “Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I am against your magic bands, with which you hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms. I will let the souls fly free, even the souls whom you ensnare like birds.
21 Et dirumpam cervicalia vestra, et liberabo populum meum de manu vestra, neque erunt ultra in manibus vestris ad prædandum: et scietis quia ego Dominus.
21 Romperé asimismo vuestros veletes, y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y no estarán más en vuestra mano para caza; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
21 I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.
22 Pro eo quod mœrere fecistis cor justi mendaciter, quem ego non contristavi, et confortastis manus impii, ut non reverteretur a via sua mala, et viveret:
22 Por cuanto entristecisteis con mentira el corazón del justo, al cual yo no entristecí, y esforzasteis las manos del impío, para que no se apartase de su mal camino, infundiéndole ánimo;
22 Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.
23 propterea vana non videbitis, et divinationes non divinabitis amplius, et eruam populum meum de manu vestra: et scietis quia ego Dominus.]
23 Por tanto no veréis vanidad, ni más adivinaréis adivinación; y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
23 Therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”
